Nameless
Dirk Gently One of the most telling things from this match will be the attendance.

We'll see just how many people share the optimism of some for an ok-ish season, after the last few years.

But early August attendances always tend to be lowishfor some odd reason.
As I understand it season ticket sales have been pretty good.

Summer hols isn’t it? A good percentage of people are away

If we get anywhere over 12k that will be decent given recent home form, the injury list that has pricked any early season excitement plus the impact of holidays etc.

Cardiff will sell their tickets so there's 2,000 in the away end and i would like to think we can muster up more than 9,000 so 12,000 seems a bit low.
Would be looking at 13,500 - 15,000 hopefully to generate a decent atmosphere.

SCIAG Isn’t John Clarke a left back? Would be a big deal to give him his professional debut out of position. Is he ahead of Dorsett?

Played CB in the friendlies and looked good there.

Yeah. It'll work still be telling. If it's 8000 you know we'll struggle to break 12k through much of the season. If its 12k you know we're probably about normal or a bit better.

We were told when he joined that he was signed as a left back for the U21s / 23s. I queried at the time what that meant for Samuels. (Still have no idea what is happening with Samuels).
I didn't see the West Ham friendly but apparently when Clarke came on he played in central defence and was pretty good there.

Cardiff fans on a messageboard I post on asking are there any decent pubs in town that dont get rammed on matchday. Any suggestions bearing in mind they will be away fans?

The Butler Chatham street is normally a good shout. but the super expensive 3G right outside the station is the first pub they see.

If there are police around at the station then they may not get much choice in pub and be pushed towards the 3G. It always used to be the designated away pub.

I'll be watching this with the Cardiff ultras and may offer a few outside if they get too salty.

Is it true that Yiadom and Meite have knocks? We have no full-backs if so true (or strikers for that matter)

When do we start asking questions of the head of sports science at the club? An injury crisis is one thing but a sustained period of an excessive number of injuries is another.

Cardiff to score four and win by three

What's the joke here? There aren't any pubs on Manchester road.

Cardiff may well have 9 new signings in their starting 11 tomorrow so perfect time to play them. Comfortable win I think
