A good professional for sure but I'd rather have Bodie and Doyle.

The bookies have slashed the odds for Steve Cotterill.

How many of the managers mentioned on this thread are already employed by other clubs and which are unemployed?

Jones, Cowley and Critchley are all available.

Wellens and Cotterell are with clubs at our level so not sure why they'd leave to join us/why we'd pay money to get them.

Most of the others have connections to Reading - is that necessarily a good thing?

Think we'd always be a pull for managers at most L1 clubs bar the top 8 teams this season. Can pay more money, bigger budget, fan base, nicer facilities and stadium + our potential to return to the 2nd tier.

To answer my own question - this site shows current odds with details of the manager's current (or previous) club

Forgot about him. He got Brentford up to the championship from league one. Probably still lives locally too

I really don't trust Dai to appoint a good manager. Bet it'll be the same rubbish and we appoint someone like Steve Kean

Elm Park Kid For once, just once, why can't we get a manger who actually has a track record of success in the league were going to play in?

Not some 'promising' manager from the Romanian second division. Not someone who had been the number 2 at West Ham and Brentford. Not a 'big name' player. Not even someone who's done well in league 2. An actual, manager with relevant experience.

Even Ian Holloway would do

Nay, nay and thrice nay
The idea of a flat earther managing the club is a step too far for me

Stephen Robinson at 33-1 has done exceptional work at St Mirren this season and if he could convince Mark O'Hara to come with him, I'd be on that like a shot. He's currently 8-1 to get the Aberdeen job though, but I reckon Barry Robson will get that one.

Done well in Scotland, not so well in England although he was at Oldham and Morecambe which were far from easy jobs at the time.

Same odds as KoLOLo Toure.

Harry Redknapp is looking to get back in. My source tells me that all he's looking for is 10k a week, 15m quid after tax.

Ryan Mason.

From that list - there’s something about Jobi I like. Quiet, intelligent but hard as nails. I think he’ll make a good manager.
