Hendo
Royals and Racers 1st cock up of the season already- Reading Website links one to Sutton Utd website to buy but on their website it doesn`t allow selection of the away end which is the Collingwood road end !!! I have emailed the ticket office at Sutton after phoning didn`t solve the problem.

:?:

Just tried it and it looks like you can buy them no problem?

Agreed - It was working fine earlier today and I've just tried again and I can't see a problem with clicking area/selecting seats/selecting ticket type

Find the moans a bit odd. It’s a very solid set of fixtures with options to view the majority. Actually think this is well planned and looking forward to them

Just baffling really.

Sure it would be the same people moaning if they had taken a private charter.

Pound for pound we have the moaniest fanbase in professional football imo.

Against Weymouth on 29 July, same day as Swansea, therefore assume U21s

U21s also have a game against Torquay 8 July - same day as Wimbledon in Spain

Interesting. Seem to remember watching last years pre season tour friendly against the mighty Benfica for free on the club YouTube channel. Now they want £5 to watch us play Wimbledon.

Will be 2 reasons for that. 1 - we need the money and 2 - they will have seen how many actually viewed the game for free, was probably pretty small and decided charging a fiver won't make much difference as those who watched for free would probably pay a minimal fee.

They'll be filming the game anyway for analysis purposes so if they can bring in a few hundred quid, fair enough.

Might be being driven by Wimbledon as well.

That as well - showing it for free would need to be agreed by both clubs of course. I doubt Benfica cared too much or thought many, if any, of their fans would want to pay for a friendly against a then 2nd Division English club, so would have been happy to agree to it going on Youtube.

Find it a bit odd that a lot of our supporters are moaning about us having tax bills to pay and having no money but are adverse to the club trying to make money.

It is a very strange stance - I plan to renew my Royals TV ST as soon as possible because I support the club, not the owner, and the club needs income. That's why I find people cancelling their ST a bit off, if you want the club to survive - if it really is at risk currently - then, if you can afford it - which if you've paid, you probably can - why take away one of the only actual sources of income the club (not the owner) has.

Yep and it's only a fiver. A couple of hundred people watch the game it suddenly becomes a thousand etc. It won't change us into the Man City's of the world, but it's a minimal, incremental income that the club could do with.

I have just brought my £5.00 pass for the Wimbledon game. I wasn’t going to bother but the club clearly needs the money.
