ST renewal options.

by windermereROYAL » 12 Jun 2023 11:45

Ok peeps, we have until Friday 17.00 to renew at discounted prices, the silence from the club is deafening atm, I`ve not renewed yet and I`m still in two minds if I will if there is no new managerial appointment by then.
Like to know the feelings of other nobbers on this subject.

The amount of information the club is currently issuing has no affect whatsoever on my renewal decision

What exactly do people expect the club to tweet?

I'm not a member of the rabid twitterarti but for me, I'd like to have seen a direct statement from the owners and an update on the manager situation.

It doesn't have to be "we're trying to get Chris WIlder, leave us alone"

But something like "We've interviewed 4 candidates and are hoping to close in on our preferred choice in the next week" or something. I know it's bland but it helps.

It also helps if they'd address the failings. I'm not renewing until I feel confident the club have a plan in place.

And a player left the club at the weekend, nothing.

Already renewed.

Asked myself if I'd renew even if we appointed Nathan Jones.

Down here Bournemouth tried to force season ticket holders to buy tickets for 2 women's matches as part of their increased renewal.
After many complaints the club changed its mind and just offered the 2 at a discount and are refunding to all of those that had already renewed..

I'll see how the squad is shaping up before the season starts before I commit to jumping back on the ST wagon.

I'm in no hurry.

I've not had a season ticket since the season before Stam, went to a lot of games last year so was planning on getting a season ticket this year, but I'm holding off for a manager appointment.

If we hire someone with League 1 experience, or probably a young coach from a top club then I'll get one, if we hire another manager I've never heard of from abroad I'll stick with going when I feel like it

Just leave it and wait until the half season tickets go on sale later in the year.

Do you want to watch Reading play a lot of home games next season?

Yes - buy ST
No - don't
Other - is the discount financially important to you?
- yes - set aside that money and use it to go to as many games as you can without a ST
- no - wait to see what happens and forget about the discount.

Already had it in mind I'd be picking and choosing which games I'd go to as last season due to the arrival of my baby girl, I only went to a dozen games.
