Wonder how far we’d be from being self sustainable if we

Sold the training ground
Sold off Smith, Wing, Knibbs, Savage and Azeez (compensation) in the summer and any academy lads we could
Found a cheap training ground
Disbanded the Academy
Continued to use the SCL which remains owned by Yongge and we continue to pay the 1m p/a or whatever it was

Be a fairly miserable existence but possibility that’s where it’s going

Very plausible imo. But eventually he'd leave somehow. We'd probably be looking at boycotts to force his hand.

blueroyals
Hound They’ll find training facilities easy enough. It might be a trek and they might not be very good but they’ll find somewhere

Don't forget that needs to include space for the academy teams and the women's team. Or 3 separate facilities

That's true, but Hogwood was significantly smaller than Bearwood and the first-team and academy did well enough there. Not sure if the Women's team were also based there, but given their current part-time status perhaps their requirements have reduced or at least there may be less issues in terms of pitch clashes; gym and rehab rooms usage etc. We've held Category A Academy Status since 2012, bar a year, so it's not like the superb facilities we enjoy(ed) at Bearwood were the only reason for that accreditation.

Not sure the Rams pitch is really viable for hosting Reading FC matches, but could see a scenario where they get their long-wished-for move to a better facility capable of hosting Championship rugby and Reading convert that to a first-team training ground.

Just sell the club side of things for a pittance, maybe up the lease cost and just remain only as landlord, or until someone wants to pay £20m+ to buy the stadium back. That might suit him

I'd take that tbh. However we get out of this, if we do at all, I've already accepted it's a very long road back.

If protesting outside Wycombe training ground or Bearwood park means the deal could change or be off then it's worth it! :?:

If it all goes 'tits up' as I expect will the supporters (such as myself) be able to have their brick back from the memorial wall?

From what I've seen, only a minority are happy about this. Most range from skeptical to hostile, and not just on the morals of it. There are a lot of concerns about the source of the funding, who will own it and whether they're becoming less sustainable.

That is a good thing I think. I was highly sceptical of this (and still think it will achieve nothing) but if there are Wycombe fans on board with it then there is less chance of it going wrong.

Has Sir John Madejski got a big back garden - big enough for a football pitch or two?

No way he is going to dig up Cilla. Her grave is on his property.

The protest will be on local press websites that have thousands of adverts and videos and completely unreadable websites great

Would be shocked if more than 100 people turn up to Wycombe. But fair play to anyone who does.
