Never get a drone permit when a match is on - even just for crowd shots, and the TVP drone unit / NPAS would be all over it if anyone tried to go rogue . Already been a few cases of people with criminal charges for flying drones at football.

The march for the Portsmouth game could be interesting, it had an impact during the Maxwell saga that`s for sure, no roads are not busy on a Saturday afternoon, there could be quite some disruption if enough people turn out.
Might need to cooperate with the old bill first though.

Bright and visible banners are the only way to get messages to him, assuming he can read English. Apart from getting his attention, nothing else is worth doing.

Sorry to ask but do you think that the cost of a plane with banner would be worth it as will it actually have any impact on Dai/the club bar 15 seconds of coverage on the local news? Wouldn't there be a better use for any crowd-sourced funds (not sure what though).

And is it really easier to arrange to fly a plane over the ground rather than a drone?!?
