Hound Excellent news on smith, feared that was a couple of months

Probably best to wait and see. The medical team could yet drop a weight on his foot.

There we go

Do wonder if this includes Abrefa, Dorsett and John Clarke who appear to have all disappeared

I’m assuming they are also all injured or they’d be in the u21 at least

Usual story. Bindon Wing and Camara missing today the latter out for 3 weeks. Mukairu twisted his ankle.
Smith hopefully back after the international break if the 6 weeks is to be believed. but this is Reading so before xmas will be a bonus.

If Instagram is to be believed Ejaria is fit...appreciate not match fit but would expect a run out in U21's

Bindon apparently picked up concussion after a collision in training. It happens.

Injury list now 6 long:

  1. Tyler Bindon (Concussion) hopefully available for the Cambridge game on the telly next Monday
  2. Mamadou Camara (not sure exactly) expected back for the game against Notlob after the international break
  3. Ovie Ejaria (knee) rumours starting to emerge he is now fit (certainly was involved at the training open day so we know he can at least walk unaided) so let's also suggest Notlob - though will presumably get a run out in an u21 game or two beforehand (or maybe even on the bench v Ipswich?)
  4. Paul Mukairu (Ankle) expected back after the international break
  5. Sam Smith (Quad muscle) expected back late September
  6. Lewis Wing (don't know) No idea whatsoever what's happened to him or when he'll be back

Unknown yet if anyone else came off the worse for wear at Exeter...

I think re Wing Selles said after one of the home games 2-3 weeks so likely back after the break

Selles reckons another 3 weeks for Sam Smith

Wing looks to be nearing fitness

Ejaria can't be far off

Bindon should have recovered from concussion by now

morganb Selles reckons another 3 weeks for Sam Smith that will be 6 weeks then.

Wing looks to be nearing fitness cue an "unexpected set back" in the post Bolton Dellor interview

Ejaria can't be far off so around May

Bindon should have recovered from concussion by now Probably turn out to be CTE, physios say he will need to retire

Add the couple of players who will have been mysteriously injured during the international break and won't be back until after the following international break.

Smiths initial assessment was 6-8 weeks. Think we’ve had 5 so that sounds about right

I’d expect to see Ejaria back in full training, Wing, Camara, Mukairo, Binden back in the first team squad after the international break

Well not expect with us obviously. But that’s when they should be back

Do you think Ejaria will actually play any significant (say > 5 starts/ 10 appearances) part this season?

I think if he is fit then he definitely will. The past few games have shown we lack creativity and I personally think Ejaria has the ability to help create chances and unlock defences, probably playing in the role Knibbs is currently occupying

Dunno. I don’t know what he is now and whether he is fully fit, properly part of the squad etc

He did seem pretty involved (and cheerful) on that open training day

If he plays the crappy safe, unambitious way he did last season then he’s a waste of time

If he has some semblance of his best form he could be the absolute perfect player in a Selles system of someone who can pick up the ball in midfield, turn and make space for the forward players, as well as press and defend from the front

Heart thinks the latter, head thinks the former. But you never know, a lot depends on his attitude

On Ejaria.
A player thought by Arsenal to have potential, enough for Liverpool to sign him and for Stevie Gerrard, who would have known the player at Liverpool, to take him to Rangers.
Now he will be asked to play 3rd division football where it should all be a stroll for him (figuratively speaking even if his tendency is to stroll  ).

At 25 shortly he is not one of our kids and even at 75% fitness level should cope well enough at this standard of football so let's hope he is soon fit enough to play as the Ejaria who first arrived on loan to us would be one of the best in the division and his passing ability plenty good enough to set up chances.
The hope of course, after he has had plenty of time for reflection over these past months, is that the player who first arrived with us is once again that player.

As the cliche goes, it would be like a new signing.

Imagine if Ejaria saved our season? It would fantastically funny. This place would implode.

I have a feeling Ejaria is dead. Seriously when is the last time anyone ever saw him. Think about it. It's the only realistic possibility.
