Hound CBC there as well

1-0 QPR. Done alright so far, but goal was a bit lame. Carson out of position, free cross, someone outjunped Dorsett and the trialist had lost track of Dykes who put it away

I hate that guy.

Clyde1998

Clyde1998 A little surprised we haven't put Wing on the bench to give him 10-20 minutes towards the end of the game. That said, it might benefit him to be doing fitness training instead of playing today.

Why would QPR still be paying Amos and Shodipo if they've released them?

Any player released by a club has to be paid in July by their former club if they have not signed a deal with a new club - so for example, we will have to pay Joao and Moore if they don't sign for a new club in the next week.

Seems odd, given they're no longer under contract. I assume that's only a single month thing?

Yes it is odd and yes it is a one month thing.

Absolutely bossed it since the 30m break. Some good signs there

QPR look properly shit

Couple of errors leading to some chances for them though, one a Dorsett shocker, but good saves from Jokull

Smith looks excellent. Savage looks tidy, lots of quick passing

Craig impressed me a lot again, so like the look of him.

Abbey been good, Dorsett some good stuff but poor for the goal and a crap mistake almost leading to another

Vickers been good

QPR really do look woeful.

Holmes, McIntyre, Knibbs, Azeez, Guinness-Walker, Borgnis, Ehibhatiomhan and Senga all on for the final thirty minutes. By the looks of it our performance today has been good, which is very encouraging given we basically started with an U21 side.

As long as there's a shed load of positives, that's all that matters.

I have to say I'm really excited for this new season. This is the Reading I know. Hungry young players. Hell, I might even go and start chants on the East stand again.

Played right back. Looks handy enough but poor on the goal and you wouldn’t say first team in that evidence

Fair, maybe they'll give him another look - can't imagine he has been with the team for a while.

0-2. Borgnis error at RB, another free cross and Holmes/TMc deciding they couldn’t be arsed to mark so free header in the area.

Actually a bit disappointed by the last 15-20. Couple of half chances but weren’t as good as the previous hour or so

God the defensive side of the game still sounds like it needs a lot of work, been so bad for years so how on earth new bloke can get it seriously improved in under 2 weeks is beyond me.

With Dean watching on, must surely only be a matter of time before he signs.
