Royal_jimmy Pathetic. I really don't want Bouzanis as number 1 this season

It's got to be Andresson to start the season from what I've seen; Bouzanis as the back up.

Think that would be my decision but never been overly convinced with either so would be looking for a new option

They are both dodgy af.

Picking up a few bits on Twitter that have come from players and Selles

Wing hoepfully ok for next sat
Smith out ‘long term’ with a quad injury (sigh)
Hoping to sign Rushesha but can’t until tax bill paid
Selles has spoken to Dai and says bill will be paid
Players expecting to be paid in full
Is a chance players who have signed won’t be registered by the EFL
Players praising Selles but admitting pre seaosn not been good

Oh and Savage May have to go back to Man U

Genuinely sounds like any sort of season hangs on Dai paying the F’ing bill this week

Have to say the the league don't exactly come out of these things smelling of roses, effectively the club would appear to be being screwed over by things outside of its control (who could forsee the Chinese govt deciding to make things difficult to get money out of the country when Dai was approved by the league to take over SIX years ago) and if they threaten a "go slow" on processing registrations, on top of throwing embargoes around everywhere, just how the hell does that help anyone. Would suggest it's in danger of threatening the integrity of their own competitions.

And yes I know Dai needs to be seeking a buyer for the club as it would appear he can no longer effectively fund the club efficiently but in the meantime surely the FL should be asking what they can do to help as much as anything else otherwise they might get another Bury on their hands!

Dai is the master of his personal own downfall and that of Reading FC. Not just the EFL that are gunning for him.

At least the season will have started and there'll be cash coming in through the door. Providing overheads are minimised. Then the club may well be in a position to soldier on. Though at the expense of on field success.

To be honest, we weren't that bad in the first half, there goal was well taken by a very good player, however, we got caught out all afternoon with those cut backs into the box!!
We looked bright going forward and attacked and pressed with pace, just no real penetration in the box.

During half time someone must have slipped them some dodgy oranges or something as we were ripped to shreds and it was game over after 10 mins of the restart lol.....
CBC gave us proof that he's nowhere near ready for first team football and needs to go out on loan for a few seasons, and NGW and to be fair the whole back four got torn to shreds all second half!!!

I always remember hearing football coach's/manager's saying that a winning team is built from the back!! Let's get Lumley back if he's still available, he's not the best but he's steady and that's exactly what we need at present.
Holmes and McIntyre need to move on, they've been part of a back four for two/three seasons now that has shipped far to many goals and Holmes looked lost today.
NGW, he's just not a good defender!! he's good going forward but leaves so much room behind and has zero defensive awareness. Yiadom is ok and should hopefully thrive in this division, we really miss Hutchinson who sadly should just retire as he's never fit!!

Going forward we'll be fine i believe, however, losing Smith is a huge blow and if we are going to play 4-2-3-1 which i believe is Selles preferred formation i would like to see a powerful CDM to provide cover in front of the defense.

Mind you, unless our beloved owner can find a way of paying his bills everything above is just wishful thinking.

I just hope moving forward the fans can stay patient with the team and management as we have to remember that this is a project and a rebuild and Rome wasn't built in a day!! By all means vent your frustrations at the ownership as its their actions that have gotten us in this mess, not the team itself.

Unlike the last two months where we've been selling season tickets and getting transfer fees?

Snowflake Royal WTF happened? First half we looked decent but disjointed and not a lot of threat. Last 20 minutes we've been woeful, and that's after we conceded 3 and Swansea seased off!

What happened after the first half ? CBC came on, If you thought the kid we loaned from Everton was bad this feller made him look like Gordon banks.

The fact that the money appears to been spent. Sums up how bad the situation must have been. The current HMRC arrears are for the end of June payroll. The shortfall has been known about for sometime. Trademark Dai you could say. Duck , dive and lie. Buy time in the hope of kicking the can a little further down the road.
