Yeah - Leeds can only match with 100% record until the end of the season; Ipswich could still beat with 100% until the end of the season and Leicester can only lose twice and win the other 9 which looks much less of a formality than it did a couple of weeks ago...

It makes the 05/06 side look better and better.
They didn’t really let up

They need to win 9 and draw 2, if they lose 1 they need to win the other 10

You're right - 9 wins and a draw would match 106. 10 wins or 9 wins and 2 draws would beat it. Their next three games are all away from home (because of the cup game on the 16th) so let's see if they recover from their wobble...

If someone equals the record would goal difference be taken into account ?

We don’t sing, “We’ve got the record, 106, with a GD of 67”

Because we hold the record outright.
My specific question was whether if two sides achieved 106 would the side with the better goal difference be considered the record holder ?
I assume you aren’t a stats man.

Looks like the record is safe this year. Looking at the PL relegation battle, I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's safe next season too.

No, it's separate from the record. As the first team to do it, we'd still hold it as the other team would only have equalled us, not beaten us.

Also, genuine LOL. Well done.

This is correct, if Leicester finish on 106 even with a better GD, we will still hold the record as the first club.

And because we are an older club than Leicester.

Incidentally, is it only 12 months ago we were crapping ourselves that Burnley could overtake the record? Look at them now......

big fan of the asterisk for Lincoln City's efforts under 2 points for a win, I assume.

IIRC, Lincoln would've got 105 points under three points for a win.
