Not one bit. Presumably it's a small amount as he's not particularly wealthy in the grand scheme (though richer than me by a long long long way) and EFL checks are simpler below 25%. May help solve Dai's acute cash flow issues in the short term, but the next crisis won't be far off.

Did wonder how Dai could ruin tonight.

Well done.

If it pays the bills short term then great. The guy has an awful track record though, don't trust him as far as I could throw him.

That is the only positive. If he pays. IF.

So if this is just extra funding does it come under the same scrutiny by the EFL and therefor requires their approval? If not and he is only helping pay a few bills which in turn hopefully stops these annoying three point deductions then i guess its not to bad!!

If he has anything more to do with the club then its nothing more than a band aid on an axe wound lol.

Taken from other threads but people are saying anything under 25% investment does not require efl approval

He also claimed he was buying Sunderland, but that didn’t happen.

He can just join Dai in the get out house if he has paid in. And if he has, tells you all you need to know about Dai, yet again.

Ok thanks Brogue, so i guessing he'll have little influence at the club as surly he'd never get approval for anything more than this amount

He claims to have been a tobacco farmer in Zimbabwe. Given his age, if he was, I'm amazed Mugabe's henchmen didn't rip his nuts off and stuff them up his arse.

Pretty sure he's just attention seeking and there's nothing actually in this.

Do keep up,there is no test if the level of investment is less than 25% of the club's value.

+ there is no such thing as a fit and proper person test. But aside from that and the 25% rule jimmys post is 100% correct

Wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case either. Constantly does it with F1 as well, for nothing to materialise.

But it doesn`t look like a fully blown takeover does it? nobody knows what he will get out of it, surely help paying the wages and taxes can only be a good thing as long as he keeps his nose out of team affairs.

I guess if it's something like a one off sponsorship deal then it's not so much of an issue.

From everything I've seen, he appears to be an insane charlatan whose plans either fall through, or end up in ruin.

We're kidding ourselves on if we don't think he'll be involved here.

Probably nothing to worry about as a judge reportedly said of Storey that he "had a tendency to make impressive statements, which on further investigation or consideration were not quite what they seemed".
