Chopper also tells people who's interested and getting media attention. You won't have a car with Fraser's Group written over it would you

You can’t beat free advertising. Just like with Storey, Ashley’s companies are getting lots of prominent free exposure in articles speculating about his interest. Not suggesting his interest isn’t genuine, just suggesting why they might have arrived in company helicopter.

morganb Does anyone know why Ashley's people arrived at the ground last week by helicopter? Is a very noticeable way to travel. Why couldn't they just come by car?

What was the urgency of coming on a Sunday morning rather than on a standard working day or even attended the match the day before (as other potential buyers have allegedly been spotted watching in the boxes).

Ashley's PR people know exactly what they are doing.
Even someone who only speaks Mandarin can interpret the message behind those images of the helicopters.
Sunday. Light news day.
Tanks on the lawn.
Serious buyer interested.
Buyer's brand visible.
It was done for that reason.

"I'm just popping out in the chopper to buy a football club, do you want anything from the shops on the way back?"

"Can you get me a Caramac from the petrol station please"

Based on the username, I have no reason to doubt the reliableness of that information…

Clearly no one should be enthused by Kia Joorabchian involvement. But I'm confident Ashley is shrewd and experienced enough not to just be Kia's pet and give him an easy way to make money on his dud players like Dai does.

After an admittedly quick google, I can’t see anything that says Ashley and Kia have had any real past dealings. Other than some tenuous link involving Pardew based on Kia bringing Teves and Mascherano to West Ham.

Well as ian says Ashley isn’t enough of a mug to be hoodwinked by Kia. If Kia brokers the deal fine, I couldn’t give a fcuk. Just get it done. Then kick this cnut to the kerb

Hendo Bradford
Bournemouth
Brentford
Coventry
Swansea

For a few more.

Bournemouth, Brentford and Swansea were tiny clubs when it happened to them - like us pre SJM. We're quite a big club relative to others who have gone through this; only a couple like Coventry, Palace and Portsmouth comparable. Leicester a bigger example too.

Yeah as someone who isn’t a fan of people getting paid what their worth I can’t imagine he’ll hold Kia in any kind of regard.

If you were travelling from Burgess Hill to Reading, a helicopter would be the best method of transportation

The only reason to choose to go by car would be if one didn’t own or have access to a helicopter.

Are you suggesting dd is Mike Ashley?

Now that would be a twist.

Mike Ashley has pulled out of a deal to sign Reading after Ian called him a dick on AE".

I’m not saying dd is Mike Ashley but do we know for sure that he isn’t?

Dd hasn’t posted in a while this might be tied in with him busy looking into acquiring the club
