Stranded Nice to see a Reading team actually dispatching a lower ranked side comfortably.
Indeed. It was clear there was a difference in quality between the sides that wasn't as obvious against Forest Green. We were very comfortable in possession against FGR, but didn't look hugely threatening. We looked more threatening going forward and had the drive to keep looking for goals.
So far we're continue our run of not being knocked out the FA Youth Cup by anything other than a Premier League Category 1 academy (in 2019-20 we were knocked out by Category 2 Crystal Palace, but they became Category 1 at the end of that season) - which goes back to 2012-13 (excluding 2017-18 when we were expelled from the competition for fielding an ineligible player; we would've played Arsenal otherwise).
Onwards to Sheffield Wednesday or Hemel Hempstead.
