Expect the likes of Vickers, Abbey and Bindon and maybe one other off to Arsenal or other club for some pathetic amount of money and just maybe the arrival of a striker to replace Ballard.

Bugger all.

Dai would have to give half a shit to:
a) Sell anyone
b) Sign anyone

Would certainly explain the lack of playing time for Vickers...

I'm fully expecting some kind of firesale to bring in funds to keep the month to month operation running.

Ideally some of the higher paid older players in positions we have cover for - but inevitably will be the young talents on low wages that haven't yet bloomed here...

Dreading it. No way a takeover is completed by then, but hopefully someone is advanced enough to provide funding. Otherwise, expect a firesale. I know Dai has blocked sales in the past, but he doesn't care enough to block them any more.

From everything that's happened, how much control do you think Bowen has over the finances? Coz I think it's bugger all. I think Dai would have to authorise sales, and he just won't answer.

So they'd have to be triggered by meeting release fees where a decision doesn't require sign off.

What's the current transfer embargo status imposed on the club ? Totally lost track.

Can't spend a penny on fees until 2025.

Whether we can make any signings at all depends on what day it is and whether we're in debt to HMRC at the time.

Oh, and according to Selles we're butting up against a hard limit on wage bill and squad size.

Weren't the club going to appeal the 2p25 embargo in an attempt to get it reduced to a 2 window ban (believe other clubs have done that successfully)?

Unless my maths ability has done a runner, reducing to two windows simply confirms ban until 2025 (January and summer)

I think the ban is for the next 3 windows so we can start paying a fee for players in the summer of 2025.

Wasn't the ban given in the close season this year? Therefore the three windows Reading would be banned from paying for a player in are presumably; summer 2023, January 2024 and summer 2024 - is that correct or did they stipulate a w.e.f. date. All seems utterly pointless given the fact the club have been effectively banned from buying anyone for the last 3 or 4 windows anyway.

Actually think the FL are excessively vindictive, esp. if the club gets new owners. Think the club should be able to trade properly albeit with league approval required on any deals proposed.

In that case I think the rules are excessively vindictive and could force clubs already in dire straits into real playing issues with not being able to compete properly - seems a strange thing for the turkeys to vote for.

All a consequence of financial doping and instability that risks the existance of clubs, and clubs being destroyed mid season ruins the imtegrity of the competition. And such cheating massively disadvantages anyone who follows the rules.

We are a disgusting shambles that cheated for years (incredibly unsuccessfully) and deserve every punishment coming our way.

Real Madrid are interested in signing Caylan Vickers in January from Reading.

Reading reportedly want £1 million with a sell on clause. Leicester, Norwich, Celtic and Arsenal also said to be interested.
