Bristol Paul
WestYorksRoyal Another poor performance against another poor team, who this time are somehow at the top of the league. Our position is so frustrating because probably 20 out of 24 teams in this league are utter shite.

We are worse than utter shite unfortunately.

Yep, but I think a decent manager could make us into a shite team with enough to stay up.

Kits really laying into "on the field" things. Sterile nonsense academy football. No-one taking risks. Amazed if anyone broke 12k out there.

Kitson absolutely destroying selles, and our style and approach to games.

And ‘people going on national tv trying to come across as heros by forgoing their wages’

A few people saying Holmes had a good game which is a positive. I think the Bindon Abbey partnership is too inexperienced. We'll put Abbey's display down as a one off aberration.

Academy football with an academy manager learning (allegedly) on the job.

We really need another striker so Sellles doesn't run Smith into the ground.

What a dreadful second half and even the atmosphere was rubbish. I thought Oxford looked in control without getting into a higher gear.

Throughout my lifetime of supporting Reading, barring the last few years, we’ve always managed to build up a head of steam in home games and put sides under the cosh. We have had some poor teams over the years, but they always gave it a go and certainly would do in a local derby. It’s like watching chess football and it sucks the life out of me.

One thing I think Dim and Mick did have a point on, is given how dreadful we are, we need to not let the opposition attack towards their fans second half.

Any game we've got our finger tips in is just a losing prospect with the away fans roaring their team on and making our defence more and more nervous.

We need to look for absolutely every sliver of an edge right now.

No game on Saturday 6th January as Stevenage just won a penalty shoot- out at Port Vale.

Just be thankful pox couldn’t finish the quality from both teams was dire. To many players are not good enough for this level. Abbey was so bad it was embarrassing to watch. If you can’t get up for a derby game then you never will.

The atmosphere was desperate- first derby league for 20 years? Feeble. Barely a squeak from Oxford or 1871

Bored into submission by that second half is the only excuse I’m giving them

Should we use the staff wage fund to buy the ref some glasses after that penalty he didn't penalise Yiadom for?

Since VP got found out and refused to adapt it's been steady decline. But this, this is just anti-football. This isn't a bad squad, but they are playing negative tactics with a kneejerk tinkerman in charge for whom everything he does seems to be a hail mary. This squad doesn't need someone who's learning on the job, it needs a steady hand with experience of this league.

Academy team playing academy style football. Selles cannot change that overnight.

I don't think this rivalry is going to be troubling the Old Firm or North London derbies any time soon
