2-1 up with a totally pants performance. Could score a hatful against this lot if they actually got their arses in gear. Binden and Abbey need a rocket up their arses.

WestYorksRoyal He's been our breakout star of the season ffs. If he's not great with the ball at his feet, it's up to his team mates to make themselves available.

He literally misses passes to people standing in bags of space with noone around them.

As does the whole team. Product of the managers style of play.

First touch generally looks terrible, passing frequently wayward. Definitely a management problem, but Abbey takes it to a new level sometimes.

What we're seeing is a bunch of decent individuals playing very badly, but having enough talent to make a difference and win some points at this level anyway, despite the total lack or set up and system.

Yeah I think we do well despite Selles not because of him.

But I don't like him so accept perhaps I'm being harsh. Unbeaten in quite a few now.

WestYorksRoyal Think the optimism from a few good results is wearing off. This is miles off the Lincoln, Wigan and Peterborough performances, as was Cheltenham.

To be honest, even the 'good' performances were pretty rubbish football masked by some cracking breaks and goals.

We absolutely bossed Lincoln, while Wigan was an unflashy, routine win. Peterborough had a bit of luck but they're a quality L1 side.

If we put in performances of that level every week, we'd be play off certs pushing for auto. The issue is we don't.

Perfect timing to send Exeter in at half time having just scored an own goal

15 minutes of despondency

You shouldn't expect Championship CBs to play accurate 50 yard long balls, let alone L1. Every time Abbey tries one, it is a collective team failure that he's been forced to go long.

Piss off. Barry Hunter could oxf*rd do it better.

If you can't get the ball within 20 yards of your target over 50 yards, you've got no business trying.

Thought we’ve played well within ourselves. More pace and intensity coming out of the back and we could win this comfortably. Still early doors but there is a half decent team here.

Nelson Abbey - long balls = 6. Long balls to reach their target = 0.

I'd expect him to be able to hit percentage balls. Strikers like Long and Hunt used to win throw ins, corners etc., from hopeful clearances into the corner. Agree he should be capable of that, if not a TAA cross field pass.

30 minutes plus injury time to go. Sounds like a dire game.

Come on Makairu. So predictable he was going to lose the ball (as he almost always eventually does) running it out from defence. System? Noone showing for it? Noone he trusts? Showing off? I don't know.
