rabidbee Has Dai actually ever taken any money out of the club?

I don’t think so and I don’t agree with some of the idiots on twitter who suggest he’s gambling it away at his favourite casino. Albeit some of the tweets might be tongue in cheek.

He’s guilty of wasting a oxf*rd load of money. He bought a perfectly good house and spent millions on renovations, but has ended up with a shed.

I don’t have a problem with selling our young prospects, but they should have all been on longer contracts so that we could have gotten much higher transfer fees. One of the many things Dai has oxf*rd up.

A few reports that there was interest in our "big 4" but the club held firm, and that the general attitude among all of them was that they wanted to stick this season out. Good on them. Just need ownership situation sorted or they'll be off in the summer. Next 4 months are huge.

There may well have been some initial interest from Bristol Rovers in Reading’s Sam Smith but that was the case for a good number of clubs. That one very quickly became one that seemed extremely unlikely to happen.

Believe Gas did enquire about Harvey Knibbs though.

Just adding to this about Reading players in demand yesterday, I am aware of a couple of bids for Azeez turned down too. Interest was genuine in the 'big four' but the club held firm. Players wanted to stick it out too. Time to get back to on-pitch matters

Good to know that the club turned down offers and that the players themselves wanted to stick around

If we go into next season as a L1 club with a new owner, the guys that stayed achievements are on a par with the 2006 and 2012 legends. I'd love to see them get a chance to bring success (I.e., promotion) here.

Hopefully the fact that the club turned down offers, shows that this wasn't a fire sale - may also show that talks toward a sale are moving in a positive direction.

The main problem is he hasn't actually put much in the way of real money into the club. Just voluminous pretend money and debt.
