WestYorksRoyal Holmes apparently still a doubt for tomorrow. We have plenty of bodies who can play at CB, but all are a substantial downgrade without TMac and Abbey.

Reckon Bindon - Dorsett would be fairly quality.

Leavea a bit of a gap at LB admittedly

Is Aferba back yet? Could move Yiadom over to LB and play Aferba, or Mbenge.

If Holmes is unavailable tomorrow, I'd suggest we'll be playing:

Button
Yiadom - Bindon - Dorsett - Mola
Craig - Wing
Azeez - Knibbs - Mukairu
Smith

Can't see that Arsenal lad coming straight in to a game like this.

A couple of Brum supporting mates were full of praise for Dean when we signed him. He’s been a regular Championship player and he’s still only 32 so I don’t understand why he’s not been very good for us.

I think he's worth another chance tbh. The team was shit when he was playing, now there is a settled team and a formation that protects our CBs better. You expect someone at his age to be slower, but his experience should make up for that. And he's 32, not 35/36.

The Oxford forum suggests it's going to be a crowd of around 10,700 tomorrow based on current ticket sales. Would be their second highest attendance of the season behind Derby (11,219).

Oxford do have an sizable area of segregation between home and away fans - around one and a half blocks (IIRC) - so I'm not sure what the maximum possible attendance would be. Seems to be around 500 tickets left in the home ends though.

I'm psyched for this one now deadline day is gone. Ideally avoid defeat, we stay up, they stay down and we can go into next season with new owners as their equal. Their high watermark this century meets our nadir, they still can't beat us or play in a higher division, and we restore natural order in 2 - 3 years.

That's the ideal scenario to play out.

Birmingham have been consistently almost as shit as us while he played there. And when he's played for us he just didn't seem to have any understanding or positional sense with his partner. I hate criticising effort because its so easy, lazy and often unfair, but he just looked like he was phoning it in a fair bit.

He shouldn't be sen to the U21s in disgrace or anything, useful bench option but he's rightfully behind Holmes, Bindon and for me Dorsett.

Abrefa played in the unders recently, but it seems like Selles really doesn't rate him for some reason because he's been absolutely no where near the squad when we only have one RB and he's been out a fair bit.

Looks like Oxford are finding fans going in the home end and cancelling tickets.

Home fans have had weeks to buy tickets, you think they’d be grateful the seats are filled because home fans don’t want them, so long as away fans in home areas are sensible.

Can't imagine this is a real email: https://twitter.com/no_context_rfc/stat ... 43/photo/1 (However: https://twitter.com/RDG1871/status/1753 ... 25/photo/1)

Seems far too grammatically weak to be real.

I expect that to be how we line up, not that I think we're better with Savage

Mola could also come in to CB and leave Dorsett out wide.

Don't think we're too stretched at the back. Think we can afford an injury / suspension anywhere across the back and still put out a competitive squad.

Options:

RB: Yiadom, Mbengue, Rushesha, Abrefa
CB: Bindon, Holmes, Hutchinson, Dean, Mola, Dorsett, Monlouis, Mbengue, Yiadom
LB: Dorsett, Mola, Carson, Mbengue

Loaned out: NGW, Holzman

U21: Clarke, Stickland, Paul, Maragh, Ryan

Gutted to be missing this one today due to work. I will be watching it on Royals TV. I’d take a point today, but I think we need all 3. Let’s hope we turn up and give them a right good pasting.

If that's real, Oxford should be ashamed at the quality of their communications. It's riddled with errors. Although that passage is surprisingly within the Ground Regs, which unenforceably but officially bars entry to neutrals.

And the sharing of personal info with Reading FC and Reading FC replying has questionable GDPR legitimacy.
