Utter tripe. No-one did well, Azeez, Mola, Wing, Button and Bindon all well below par. Selles really failed to get the side "pumped" for the second half and the whole thing compounded by yet another set of ******* atrocious officials.

Six points lost to one of the worst sides in the division, one that had only scored SEVEN away from home all season in the league before today.

Shrewsbury don't score many. Must be close to 25% of their league goals against. Poor 2nd half, but tbf their 1st and 3rd goals were both very unlikely finishes at this level.

Just unlucky. Far the better team but the ball wouldn't go in for us and the opposition scored the best goals they'll ever score in their careers.

Also, though it was scarcely believable that they led at HT, that 2nd half was a textbook away performance from their perspective. Let us have plenty of the ball but never really in dangerous areas.

I am just writing that off as one of those games. It was disappointing to say the least, but Shrewsbury just have the hoodoos over us this season. Move on to Carlisle.

We had it in plenty of dangerous areas, just didn't score. It happens, we move on.

1st half was a decent affair. Couple of quality goals by their lads, but they were given so much space around the edge of the box.

2nd half was like watching pre-Christmas Reading - oxf*rd dreadful (with the exception of Elliot who did well)

Carlisle and Wycombe are massive now. It was never going to be plain sailing to the end of the season, and we can handle 1 bad result. It can't become a bad run though.

Seen a replay of the first. Button can definitely save it. He takes a step towards the middle of the goal when the shot is taken, meaning he can't get remotely close to it. Must be time for Pereira soon?

Yeah basically that. We played well first half, 2 poor goals early on but was fully confident we’d get back in it: that 3rd goal killed us

Just not at the races today. Final ball woeful. Set pieces poor. Azeez had a very poor day. The Kelv/Mukairo sub took away our biggest threat and replaced it with a player who barely touched the ball or ever looked likely to do so. Really poor one that

Oh well, first poor performance for a while. We generally looked capable and probably a bit complacent/tired or both

Haven’t seen the highlights but the shot got a massive deflection to wrong foot him. Didn’t really blame him on that. The third though? Seemed to beat him in the middle of the goal on first impression

Also thought the first took a deflection. Was right behind the 3rd, great hit - don’t think anyone is saving that. Load of swerve on it.

Shrews have scored 26 goals in 34 games . 6 against us. Azeez was so poor in the 2nd half, his crossing was atrocious.

They actually looked half decent coming forward I thought. Their RW was good. Maybe we just made them look good

First and third aside, how many times is that now that Button's been beaten at his near post? He really should have seen some sort of consequence after Pompey, but today really ought to be the one that seals (at the very least) some time away from the first team.

I'm sick of having shit keepers. Hahnemann, Federici and McCarthy must have been around for a decade between them who could all provide big saves at key moments. I don't think you can call any of the 3 today errors by Button, but the best keepers save goals, which he doesn't do. If he saves the 2nd, the game is different.

But it's not just Button. It's every keeper since AAH apart from a short term loan in Martinez. How I long for the days where we have a no. 1 who we can trust and help build our defence upon. When we had Bibbo and his coaching team, it also felt like our 2nd keeper was quality too and we had a conveyor belt of production. I think it was Rodgers who said we'd never need to sign a keeper for a decade.

Now it's just shit followed by shit year after year. Perhaps Pereira deserves a chance but, let's be honest, he hasn't displaced Button, has always been 2nd / 3rd choice and is probably next in the line of more shit.

Wasn't CBC touted as the one of the best young keepers in the country at one point? Even if he hasn't realised that potential, surely he can't be worse than Button?

Albion fans did warn us, they said they cheered once when he caught a corner, can see what they meant now, I`m struggling to recall one decent save he`s made since he`s been here.

With a young backline, it must make their job so hard knowing they can't even allow the opposition to shoot from 25 yards.
