How many games this season have we gone into thinking we should win? As Shrewsbury and today suggest the team can't handle it.

Beginning to hope for a point as a “good” result from this game

You can't blame a keeper for not saving a penalty, but was there a single Reading fan alive who thought he might save it? I remembered in our insane run to the title in 2012, Feds made a massive penalty save at Brighton. We don't have a keeper who can provide those big moments.

Can’t play for half a game and expect to win. Too often don’t turn up first half and stroll around. Would have been stunned if Button saved the penalty given he’s about as mobile as a slug.

Absolutely no need for Mola to slide in, he's holding the shirt.

So frustrating as the guy had already lost the ball thanks to the covering player.

But absolute certain penalty.

Bigger picture is the appalling 1st half cost us. Team sport and collectively we haven't been good enough.

Yep. Terrible performance. Expected Wycombe to turn up and read the script. They didn’t and completely negated us for most of the game.

Difference is finishing. We had chances we hit averagely at best with them having a keeper in the right place. We gave up gifts.

What happened to the yellow card for time-wasting and dissent they were doing in the first two months of the season?

I'm so sick of this. I could take this inconsistency on the pitch if everything was fine off the pitch. But we know we're likely to lose 2 more points and our failure to pull away from the drop zone makes the takeover more complicated and threatens the existence of the club.

Not fair to put that pressure on the players but it's where we are. Bad results aren't an inconvenience. They're a disaster.
