Brum in L1 would be interesting. Very ambitious, wealthy owners but as we have learnt that's no guarantee of success. But if they may better decisions, they could blow everyone out of the water financially.

Mid Sussex Royal
Royal_jimmy
Snowflake Royal Go on Donny. Great little club. And a cool crest.

Easy 6 points too not lost to them since 1982

Love Donny to make it, and its 40 mins up the A1 for me

You either drive fast or you’ve moved away from mid Sussex

Sutekh
Clyde1998 Huddersfield relegated barring favourable results on the final day, plus a huge goal difference swing. They’ll be joined by one of Birmingham, Plymouth, Sheff Wed or Blackburn.

The League Two play-offs will be: Milton Keynes vs Crawley and Doncaster vs Crewe.

Crawley please.

Come on Crawley

Lower West There's little quality in the teams that will be promoted from league 2 this season. Nothing to fear. Gulf/divide across the entire EFL has continued to widen. Wrexham lost £5 million getting promotion out of the National League last season. That includes the money generated from their FA Cup run. Likely to hit a brickwall if they do go up. Financially unsustainable way of achieving long term success.

Not likely,

"The financial losses suffered by the Club since the takeover shouldn’t be repeated, with income generated by the Club now sufficient to meet the operational costs of the Club going forward.

These losses were deemed necessary to allow the Club to maximise its full potential in the shortest time practically possible. The Club is under no immediate pressure to repay these loans at the expense of the progress we seek to achieve and further financial support will be provided/secured to support the capital expenditure projects the Club is currently planning, which includes increasing the capacity of The Racecourse Ground and the development of a training facility for all the Club’s teams.

The year-on-year income comparisons since the takeover, show the potential of the Club. These will significantly increase again for the year ending June 30, 2024, following promotion and the continued popularity of Welcome to Wrexham".

Birmingham next season will be interesting.

We’ll hopefully take a good crowd there.

Can’t believe it’s 30 years since they were in the third tier. They have been fighting relegation for so long, I actually regard the third as their natural home.

Birmingham have only had 2 previous spells in the third tier, at the end of the 80s and into the mid 1990s. They were last relegated to what is league 1 now back in May 1994. They immediately bounced straight back up as champions at the first attempt.

Their first ever season at that level was in 1989/90 when they managed a 7th place finish. Their worst ever league placing followed in 1990/91 when they could only manage 12th place before being promoted as runners up in 1992.

They will be by far the biggest fish in the division next season and anything less than promotion could well see serious ramifications for the club from the owners.

Generally hate games against Birmingham as they always tend to be dour horrible uneventful failures and the more favourite Reading are to win the less they are likely to actually do so. So that'll probably turn out to be one plus point then.

Shame Mowbray is too good a manager to get caught out by tier three football.

What's our record like against teams starting with "Cr"?

Stunning performance by Crawley tonight - biggest ever win in a play- off away leg and biggest ever aggregate win in the play-offs. Hope they beat Crewe to slightly redress the north v south split in L1 next season.

Yes, Crawley would be a fun addition to the league. I watched a bit and still unsure whether Crawley were great or just that Franchise were dire!! Maybe a bit of both.
Franchise FC are such a messed up club. 10,000 fans for a play-off of which 1,700 were from Crawley (Good effort), in a totally soulless stadium which they'll never ever fill!!! What were they thinking building a 25,000 seater stadium

PS just put a bit of thought to this and realized in the early part of the season we had 8,000 in a 25,000   ah well. we had an excuse, our owner is off his trolley!!! :D :D it all came good in the end :D

I think MKD were poor right from the start when they gave the ball away for the first goal. They lost the fans at that point. Crawley had a plan and it worked.

We may have had only 8,000 for a midweek fixture, but if we were in a play-off game, it would be close to full. Really don’t see why they have to put away fans so far from the pitch in a less than half full stadium, either. The MKD #18 (Dean) got away with two red card offences. He could have caused serious injury with the chip on his shoulder that he’d had since the first leg. Will be interesting to see how Crewe approach the final, they need to get Crawley onto the back foot early on.
