Wasn't until after the game I actually saw a Lincoln fan. From 1871 Never heard a peep or saw any.
As for the game I just want to check they didn't give the ref and lino a lift to and from the ground.

Thought Elliot did Okay today in his central role. Hopefully see more of him here next season as he gets game time. Mukuiru was dreadful, closely followed by Azeez. Mola........................ Whats the point, especially as they scored after he came on.

Frustrating today, but Hey Ho! that's shite lower league football for you

What the hell is he doing out there on the right. Surely his diagonals should be taking him to the other side, leaving the AR that end of the pitch to deal with their left/our right?

Perhaps unpopular but I’m starting to struggle on Knibbs. Great at running about but has the touch of a rapist.

Good: Elliott was good today, Mbungue was excellent and Bindon is wasted at this level

Bad: Mukairu was poor, Dorsett probably isn’t quite good enough.

It’s great for us, and a great quality in a harrying striker but Smith is a horrible bastard. We’d thoroughly detest him if he was on another team.

Royals and Racers No Holmes today- playing for the U 21’s

Can't see Holmes playing again for the first team (at least unless we resign him at some point). We're almost at the point where we're mathematically safe and won't make any sense playing players we won't have next season.

WestYorksRoyal Clear handball. Absolute howler from the ref. Surely should have been a red card too?

Body is between ref and handball. I don't think there any way he can see it and give it.

This was my impression. Was the wrong side of the pitch for the lino to see, whilst the player's hand was obscured from the ref by his body - so the ref couldn't be certain it was handball. You really need an additional official adjacent to the goal, on the opposite side to the linesman to be able to confirm that was handball.

The one plus from yesterday (apart from the point) was the performance of Elliot.
At last he was played between centre and right midfield whereas previously Selles had played him wide right which is a dreadful position for a right-footed player.

Looking at those players yesterday I felt that only Bindon, Wing and possibly Knibbs and Yiadom are players that I would be disappointed to lose for next season.

Hopefully, if and when the ownership is sorted, we might be able to attract some decent frees and loans and maybe sign a proper left-back where we have been weak consistently going back to the days of Shorey-their left-back yesterday I thought looked good.

Be nice to give him a bow off the bench in the last home game. But that'd be it really.

Tbh we’re not safe yet and he should be in the squad imo until we are. Would have him on the bench

Think that’s a little harsh. Wouldn’t be happy to lose Savage, Azeez, Mbengue, Kelvin E among others either

I kind of get what you mean that no one is especially vital but at the same time wouldn’t want to lose them to chance our arm one signings which may or may not work out

I think we're just marking the time until it's official at this point.

Which might explain Elliott in midfield. Though if we'd lost against Lincoln and Burton and/orCheltenham picked something up we'd look in a fair bit more trouble.

The one most likely to go is Azeez, and actually I'm not as concerned as I was. He's been pretty inconsistent and his run over December/January has cooled a bit. He's still hard working, quick and skillful that makes you think there's a potential hell of a player in there, but in the here and now he's not the finished product and is not vitally important. He's not in the conversation for POTS. I would rather keep him, but it wouldn't be a massive blow if he leaves.

There's also a helluva player in Ehibhatiomhan that could be brought out with the right coaching and role in the team. I'd like to see him stay too, but he's even less important in the immediate future.

I think its important 90% of the squad stays. The last thing we need is another rebuild and slow start.

We have a great opportunity to return to a brick by brick incremental improvements strategy.

We could use someone being sold for a wedge (although who is left except Bindon?). And a little bit of churn in the weaker areas whether first XI or back up.

I'd expect most of Savage, Craig, Senga, Carson, Dorsett, Abrefa, Ehibhatiomhan, Wareham and Elliott to play bigger and better parts next season.

Even selling Bindon this summer is a missed opportunity. He's only 19 and he needs regular game time. Give him a new contract for 3 - 4 years and sell him when he's 21 with 100 league appearances to his name, and worth 2x or 3x what he is now. Though as I've previously said, if he's not interested in extending it may be worth taking what we can get this summer instead of losing for free next year.

But agree keeping the core of this squad together is top priority. If we lose nobody, I'd be happy with a LW, specialist LB and squad option wide player to augment the squad. If Azeez goes, that's another signing we have to make.

Yeah last player I want to sell, but who else could go to the Champ or above for 7 figures?

We'd do better holding on with an extended contract and selling him for x times more if we aren't in the running for promotion. But we should be making a solid sale a season.

He's certainly our most valuable player (in terms of what anyone would pay for them).

Someone like Savage or Ehib could potentially be worth around £1m, simply down to their age and any perceived future ability these players would have.

I’d like to hang on to Smith. Just the sort of player to have in my ideal team.

If a takeover happens, there's next to zero chance of Smith being sold with 2 years left on his contract. I'm not even sure who would come in for him who are better than us. Top half L1 striker is about his level; a Championship club wouldn't come in for him.

We were saying in the ED stand, for numbers they had , never heard them until they scored.

Would have taken a point before the game, but disappointed at the end with how it went not to take all three

Yep. With his lino looking from the same side from an even narrower angle. Very good and brave lino seeing and calling that from the far side halfway line.

Deserves a retrospective ban for the player.

Shouldn't the ref be on the other side of the pitch if the far side lino is in the Reading half?
