That's not a pen on Smith though.

WestYorksRoyal Clear handball. Absolute howler from the ref. Surely should have been a red card too?

Was it really at Port Vale, 8 months ago, that Reading last had a penalty in a league game?

Seems to be a season of refereeing incompetence across all 4 divisions. Thankfully at least we don't have VAR here to make things worse.

VAR would have fixed that error. And several others that have denied us a penalty.

We got away with one in our win at Stevenage, but otherwise it feels like we've been on the wrong side of these things.

Sutekh Today's referee only joined the league list in December after relocating from the US where, last season, he took charge of 21 games in the MLS showing 85 yellow cards and no red cards. He was most card-happy in the match between Orlando City and Columbus Crew (2-1) when he showed 9 yellow cards.

Therefore presume he is on the lenient side, anyway he can't be worse than the general tripe of officials we've been suffering this season.

This will be his 17th FL game and his first for both Reading and Lincoln.

Are we sure the EFL didn't get him from another American organisation?

Lincoln players really aren't doing themselves any favours with their antics. Really need a strong referee for this but looks like we've got a whoopsie.

But only because he was giving the ref lip.

Good 1st half, probably should be winning. With results around us, I'd snap your hand off for everything to remain as it is at FT.

And VAR would have ruined the experience for us as fans.

I’ll happily endure a bunch of errors each season for knowing I can properly celebrate when it hits the back of the net.

Dorsett has to be one of the laziest players to put on a Reading shirt.

Mola on please

W8ng is doing well screening the defence, but feel he's wasted there with his shooting and ability.

Elliott has grown into the game, but he doesn’t convince a lot. Definitely looks more a central player, but you want him in Knibbs position really.

Dorsett has recovered from a poor start.

Mbengue looks uncomfortable but doing well. Him and Yiadom is a worryingly hot tempered and rash right side of defence.

Bindon class as always. Smith having a bit more joy. Azeez flitting in and out and Mukairu just not very good.

Give it 10 - 15 minutes and then double sub, Ehibhatiomhan and Craig for Elliott and Mukairu.

I'll take fewer errors thanks.

Oh God no.

Mola's actually been pretty good at LB. After starting the season terribly. Poor at RB, but solid LB.

I would have started him over Dorsett because their RB is pretty nippy and Dorsett is getting a bit exposed.

Do Reading actually have a specialist left back (excl. NGW)?
