by riverroyal » 03 Oct 2006 11:55

Does anyone know if our game at Newcaslte will be affected by the UEFA cup draw today? It says the games will be played between now and December 14th

That week is not UEFA cup week, so no change.

The actual dates are here :

http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/FixturesResults/index.html

What it does mean (as pointed out by someone last week) is that Blackburn will play on 14th December so almost certainly our match at home to them on 16th (My brithday  ) will be moved to the Sunday.

Nice to see that the club have linked the Blackburn game with the Arsenal game and put the tickets on sale despite the expected date and time change not yet being confirmed!

At £4.50 an hour I would expect anything else.

Blackburn game wont be switched as they play their last UEFA game at home on the Wednesday before we play them on the Saturday, so I cant see us switching the fixture to the Sunday.

We've gone for the 4.00 and the 9.30 staying at the Holiday Inn (Express) near the ground. Cheap cheap cheap, but it has a bar.

What chances the game being called off due to heavy snow causing the stands to be dangerous for fans?

And me, and Mrs BDC and Son-of-BDC but we are taking the Cheesemobile and will probably do some sightseeing on the way home. Will checkout the flat 'ats, whippets, trubbeld mills etc in the area. Does anybody have an English/Geordie phrase book I can borrow?
