I would probably agree that he is slightly overrated. This does not mean that he is not a very good 'keeper, just not as good as a lot of Reading fans think.

I'll use the Oxford English definition.:- To overestimate the merits of; rate too highly.

And you?

It would have been fine if he had done a poll here.

Has Stack kept a clean sheet for Reading in anything other than a pre-season friendly?

Just wondered - and didn't want to start another thread.

That's where I'm coming from too - We're not going to agree.

Like it's been said, there is another thread on this so I'm not going to go around in circles again in this one. I've put my opinion and have backed up what I think. You think differently.

Life would be dull if we all agreed wouldn't it.

Did he play against Sheff Utd in the cup last season?

You can't compare Stack and Hahnemann really as whenever Stack plays it's usually with a makeshift back 4.

how can people say he's over rated? i didn't know he had been rated, the facts are we have a mean defence and he is part of that defence.

Another pointless thread. The bloke rocks. 106 points last season with Marcus part of a mean back five. A superb start to our Prem campaign. How can they guy be rated any other than very good.

Don't think he did, wasn't that the game he was in court?

May be wrong as it may have been Luton though

So who has and how has Hahnemann been rated then?

He has had alot of coverage since we've been in the top flight. More coverage about Marcus than for some of the other players. It might be because of his character and sense of humour...... Loving Gun Crime..... Loving heavy music (tool) Having a look about him which suggests he is more suited on the door rather than between the posts!

But however good people say Hahnemann is seems to be about as good as he actually is! For me, I don't think he has been over or under rated! He is a top keeper and seems to be rated as such! No better or worse than the reality!

He's right, missed Luton but played and kept a clean sheet versus Utd. IIRC not too challenging an evening though - one of the poorest games of football I've seen.

Not making a deliberate comparison between the two players and I accept that Stack rarely plays with a settled back four. Would be nice to see him with some reserve and cup shutouts to put some pressure on Marcus though.
