£4m vs £250m

by Reading Abbey » 14 Oct 2006 22:57

On that basis, we more than won the match!

If not for a dive and then a shit free kick that took two deflections, we would have taken a point.

Very proud tonight!

Was always going to happen. Chelsea despite their millions don't and have never played a decent brand of football, will never thrash sides and always look for a 1-0. They could play Macclesfield at home tomorrow and still line up with defense in mind.

An absolute fluke goal (no change there then with them) and a referee totally incapable of doing his job, we've lost today, we all expected it but the way we've gone down tonight really really stinks.

Gutted isn't the feeling tonight, more mugged.

I think Chelsea might be feeling more mugged havin' their two world class keepers in hospital beds and Barcalona on their way over to play at Stamford Beach.

Lampard did sound more than a little embarrassed.

Bring on the Arsenal, they should play more fairly and that'll benefit us.

wait for Spacey

Now Pires is gone that may well be the case. I'm not a fan of Arsenal in any shape or form but I have a lot more respect for them than Chelsea. Arsenal play to win and win well for a start. Should be a good game of football next weekend.

Terry is the captain of our country?

It makes me physically sick, at least Beckham has never been a cheat, same with Gerrard.

Totally bemused by yesterday; the Double Champions playing lil ol' Reading, having to resort to playing ugly, boring football, with timewasting from the start of the second half, and celebrating at the end as if they had won the Champions League!

I remember last season a Chelsea fan on here saying how embarrasing it was that fulham fans invaded the pitch after their victory over Chelsea; presumably he is just as embarrassed over Chelsea fans invading the pitch cos they beat Reading yesterday?

Good point!

To be fair to Chelsea fans, it was a big game for them - being based in Bracknell, Ascot and Slough it was their local derby 8)

Come off it moo you are joking aren't you?

Welcome to the Premiership RFC-after Ronaldo we now have a number of Chelsea players diving along our hallowed turf and the same will happen when Arsenal and Spurs come to town.
We (regrettably ) have to get used to it and join in the constant appealing and disputing decisions with referees just enough not to get booked.
After giving us nothing at Wigan,Riley gave us very little yesterday but it's the same the world over-opponents of Ac Milan and Juventus and Barcelona and Real Madrid plus Rangers and Celtic have always felt that they dont get the decisions and last night (we all knew it would happen, didn't we)a poor decision resulted in a win for Chelsea.

The shame about Chelsea is that they will win the league again with the best players in the country but they could play so much more exciting football if they wanted to but choose to play more like an Italian side-effective but mainly dull.

Just because everyone else does it does not mean we should compromise ourselves and join in or acept it. We should fight the good fight and show you can do well without it and try everything we can to have it kicked out of the game.

But still had them in there pocket.

You can lose playing well. Results dont allways justify the performance and in this case a draw i think even chelsea would be content with.

Its results at the end of the day which will keep us in the division but im one who would be happier playing well every match but not winning one than playing badly and winning them all.
