Every ref so far this season someone's had a downer on, at least its not Mike Riley or old "three yellows".

What is the consensus of opinion on who is the best ref in the Premiership?

I agree on Mr Webb(3.49).He is currently 4th in rate the ref league with D`Urso(3.99) tops followed by Atkinson(3.89) and Robocop Bennett(3.68).Rennie(3.1) is currently midtable with Barry Knightmare(1.68) rock bottom and bringing up the rear.

Graham Poll for me, although Mark Clattenburg is one for the future.

Sorry, haven't forgiven Howard Webb for his shambolic display at Walsall away, in 2000 or 2001 (at least i think it was him!)

Blatant penalty last minute and Harper's direct free kick given as offside when someone was off on the far side of the box (active rule had just kicked in)!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Lets concede now and give the boys a day off. Rennie has to be worst ref in the Prem and that is saying something.

Concede? Are you saying give up without playing? I hate that defeatist attitude.

He did alright at West Ham, but when he has a bad game he REALLY has a bad game.

There's the possibility of that working in our favour of course!

I really like Rennie actually. I have not picked up on any MAJOR mistakes. I used to think he wa rubbish but now i know EVERY premiership ref makes mistakes, most bigger than his

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any "good" refs these days.

SpaceCruiser Harper's disallowed free-kick was against QPR.

And the ref was Barry Knight (for the record Adie Williams was the "offside" player).

Wonder no more - there aren't any

But don't think the old ones were any better - that's nostalgia getting to you

The standard of football referees is abysmal. Compare with Rugby League, for example, where they are respected and get 95% of decisons right.
