Murty for Sports Personality of 2006

by BBC Radio Berkshire » 23 Nov 2006 13:33

Dear All,

Sorry to intrude.

Just to let you know that we will find out at 8am on Monday morning (on BBC Radio Berkshire) whether the Royals illustrious skipper has made it into the final of BBC South Sports Personality of the Year.

The way voting has been going he's almost certain to be in the top 3.

The winner from those 3 will be decided by a phone vote next week.

I know the support from Hob Nob has been outstanding already.

I'll post again with Murty's vote number next week

Many thanks

Joel :D

BBC South Sports Personality? He should win the main one! 8)

I think this man will be amongst the favourites, however:

Basingstoke Royal
East Stand Steward rfc really is a geeky club

If he wins will it be another useless "record" that our fans are so insistant on going on about?

Oldest club in the league we are!!!!!!!

Away team hasn't scored in that goal for such and such months

Pathetic

Some of our 'fans' are losers. You being one of them. No one deserves it more than Murts.

Murts deserves it because he captained the side which pipped the northern Sheff Utd to the championship, he was an unsung hero and did not get the recognition he deserved in the championship winning side and he needs to get that recognition.

Not to mention captaining us to the league championship, a 106 points record that is unlikely to be broken, almost 100 goals scored.....

I didn't think Le Big Nose had a personality.

The Ryder Cup team will win that despite being a virtual shoe-in in a two horse race.

I strongly feel that murty will win that as he may not be the best right back in the premiership however is in the only one who enjoys there football and is very passionate about it.

Thanks

Not as much as Gary Neville. Always got a smile on his face, that bloke.

Sports Personality of the year is a joke. This was confirmed to me when Steve Gerrard came 2nd last year.

Warfield Royal Not only is Graeme Murty a great footballer, captain and leader of men but he also does brilliantly well on Monday mornings on BBC Radio Berkshire so he even wins on personality too.
