alad Doyle is a superb player, not far off the 10 goals I said he'd have by Christmas 8)

Let's hope the other part of my prediction doesn't come true.

Remind me ?

royals pete Is there another player in the country who anyone in blue and white would prefer to have as Readings Centre Forward ??

Don't all shout at once !!

I'll take that as a NO then.

I wouldn't mind Henry, Rooney, Drogba or Shevchenko.

Henry or Rooney - to PARTNER Doyle, i'll give you, but Drogba or Shevchenko can bugger off....

He'd join a big club for 5m.

Although I think his value has climbed slightly higher than that.

Rumour: We're signing Rasiak in exchange for Doyle + £10m

Spurs have too many strikers so can't see them going after him.

Arsenal won't sign him as he isn't African or under 20.

Chelsea ruled out obviously.

United, lack of strike options on the bench and with Smith on the way out so could be a slight chance. Doyle is a United fan afterall.

Liverpool might be after another striker as Crouch has hardly set the world alight this season with only 1 league goal and Bellamy has looked very poor.

Villa could be interested with Baros looking likely to leave.

Can't see him going to any other clubs has it wouldn't be much of a step up IMO.

Mostly agree, but can't actually see ManUre or 'Pool wanting to take the chance. Villa is still a mid-table club and wouldn't be much of a step.

In the current climate, I can't see Doyle leaving. Maybe a good second half of the season will open up more doors for him. Given his unproven longevity at this level, a career-ruining move to Newcastle would be top of the list, but not until the summer, if at all.

The fact Reading gave him his chance might be enough for him to stay loyal.

I'd like to think so.
