Goal scoring

by T.R.O.L.I. » 07 Dec 2006 13:27

It seems we've continued from where we've left off on the sharing around of the goals - league scorers so far:

Kitson, Sidwell, Lita, Doyle, Ingimarsson, Seol, Shorey, Harper

So only Sonko, Murty and either Little or Hunt left this season for a full house again - can't see Murts doing it two years in a row though

That'd be superb

Hunt, Hunt where ever you may be,
It could be Cech or Cudicini,
We don't give a oxf*rd if you dropped your knee,
Next time bring a 3rd goalie

So we're now up to:

Kitson, Sidwell, Lita, Doyle, Ingimarsson, Seol, Shorey, Harper, Sonko, Gunnarsson, Hunt

I'll stand by my "almost a full house" comment - last year we played 4-4-2 with a very settled team (look at the amount of times Hunt came on for Convey and Oster came on for Little) whereas this year SSC is changing the side more often - so by my reckoning its only our right back who hasn't scored (I'm treating Seol as our right winger).

Murts to score a penalty in our last game of the season at Blackburn?

FWIW, Chelsea had 13 different scorers in the league last season and 12 the year before.

the fact that we dont have to rely on one person to score is fantastic (yea i know doyle has scored alot of our goals, but to have the others scoring too - fantastic, esp when u consider that in reality chelsea only have drogba!) keep it up reading.

the way we are going, could be a full house again! would love Murty to socre again!

Just have to improve the scoring.

Where are the goals going to come if Doyle gets injured?

From the players who have managed 20 of our 30 goals (6th best scoring record in the division I believe) in the league this season. We are hardly a one man team in that department.

Yesterday was his first goal in 7 and we scored 7 during those games and already had 3 on the board when he got his first yesterday.

I think Murts will score before March, then it's up the USA to get his first penalty in the last home game of the season.

That would be perfick.
