Kitson returns.....

by Gregster » 02 Jan 2007 14:33

...on BBCRB this morning (as mentioned elsewhere), Kitson mentioned that he was hoping to play a part in the cup game against Burnley.

With this in mind (and other than his usual David Kitson, what a bargain tune), we should welcome him back with some added cheer.

I suggest:

'Bring on the Kitson' when he's seen warming up on the sidelines.

Other than that.....

'Danger, Danger, Dave Kitson' to Electric Six's 'High Voltage' always has me amused. Scandalously taken from here:

Whilst I think its great that he's on the verge of returning from injury, last year he suffered an injury against Burnley (as did Sidwell and Shorey) which kept him out for a while (although a young Irish striker did get his chance of 1st team football so it wasn't all bad).

As such, I'd be tempted not to play him in this game just to be on the safe side as Burnley are a very physical team.

Someone order the bubble wrap, polystyrene and foam padding. We'll then transport him in a crate to avoid any further complications.

Perhaps we could use the Danger Danger chant to alert him of any opposition impending tackle or 'touch'.

Although I'm sure he'd be a quivering nervous wreck if we did it every time.

love the danger danger Dave Kitson chant.

But it's not to Gay Bar. I think you're thinking of the other one. High Voltage isn't it?

Anyway. I'd be quite nervous of Kits playing any part in the cup tie given his fragility. I'd rather he got a couple of reserve games under his belt to be honest.

Be fantastic to have him back though.

There aren't many reserve games and you're never going to get up to speed without some decent first team football under your belt. I'd give Kitson and Convey about 65 minutes each if possible.

I wouldn't even do that, I'd stick them on the bench and bring them in gently. 20 minutes to half an hour should do nicely.

Once we're 4-0 up at half-time let';s bring them on for a nice gentle second half.

As if we're ever going to be 4-0 up at half time!!!!

Don't know the name of the tune but it's the same tune that Utd sing for Ronaldo's 'he plays on the left, he plays on the riiiight, there's only one ronaldo and he made england look shoite'

I can't believe I'm defending such a feeble post.

I just think introducing him in a cup clash where the oppo are going to be desperate to beat us for his first run out after injury is suicidal given his past. I'd much rather he took a little extra time, and if there are no games then a sub appearance in the next prem game would be a better option IMO.

I hope Kitson is mentally prepared for a return for action. Unless his head is right, and he goes wholeheartedly into tackles, he'll get injured again.
