Bucks Dave It's ChilEs, not Childs.

I do so hate it when fans get journalists' names wrong.

Too bloody right. That Olivia Holt, what a bitch.

Gavin Peacock is the ONLY pundit who seems to have done any research on us, including Hansen. So put them together on MOTD. Shift Lawro over to MOTD2 with Dixon and Shearer. Jobs a Goodun.

Rev Algenon Stickleback H I did ask him whether if before writing off Reading's chances, the pundits should at least have made some minimal effort to find out how good the players were, and his reply was "...to be fair it was hard to predict Reading doing well as sunderland won the title the previous year and struggled..."

That's a very poor excuse. They obviously didn't look at the records we broke. Did Sunderland break any records?

thefruits nearly threw the remote control at the telly when carlton palmer came out with that one... it needs repeating...'although sheffield united won the league last year... reading played the better football'....

He hasn't got a clue...

Nearly made me as mad as earlier this week when Steve Mclaren admitted that he hadn't seen Portsmouth or Reading at all this season....

That MADE ME MAD !!!

Carlton Palmer is a moron, probably the biggest oxf*rd ever to pull on an england shirt.

It was Carlton Palmer and the other guys just looked at him but didn't want to completely embarass him by correcting him.

So that everyone who is upset about a mistake the press makes can post it here in one place - instead of creating lots of different threads moaning about what media people say.

Skysports news were talking about Lennard Primus of Pompey this morning.

Seems it's not just us!

This is the best one ever - a two page spread in the Observer today, with an interview and profile of Coppell on one side and along the right hand side a profile of the squad entitled 'Who are they?' with photos and short bio's of each of the players. And next to Sidwell's profile is a photo of ..... Ivar Ingimarsson! Great journalism!

thats quite impressive given that Sidwell is probably one of only 3 players most people could name in our squad.

That's what I found so comical - maybe it was RFC who supplied the photos to confuse potential scouts? If they'd got Shane Long or some of the more fringe players wrong it wouldn't have been so bad ... you should see the photo though.

I found that disgusting. I wonder if anyone else notices these mistakes.

Probably, but they just think "Oh well, it's only Reading. They won't make a fuss so why should we?"

THE MEDIA ARE TO BLAME FOR THE LATEST SOVEREIGN WORLD DOMINATION

Take a look in the coming sunday's "osberver", there will be an apology for the mistakes made in their article guide to reading - effectively "an idiots guide to Reading FC ... by idiots".

They published a picture of ivar ingimarsson next to the description of the mighty steve sidwell and said that Coppell's Brentford lost out in the playoffs to the "Greatest Showmen on Earth" (RFC) in 2002.

So we really shouldn't worry about the mistakes journalists are making in their quick match reports as when they try to do a definitive guide to RFC they still cock it up.

Might be worth us singing our way through the Reading squad at OT on saturday so the bbc and world public will unwittingly learn the names of our entire squad - we could even teach them the spellings M-U-R-T-Y !!!

Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist or anything, but are these mistakes in the newspapers the cause of our amazing season?

hear me out...

Opposing managers read the grauniad, the sun and star (get stuck on page 3 and don't progress any further for a few hours) then read our match reports then expect to play against a reading team consisting of:

Marc the Handyman, Graeme Moirty, Nicky Surely, Ivar In-his-son, Christopher Reeve, Stuart Little, Nicky Hunt, Kevin Harper (having a special game in midfield), Bryn your-own-son, Craig Doyle and Paul Kitson .

They then meet the mighty Royals and are blown off the park and haven't got a clue how a team of blue collar workers, tv travel presenters and a former west ham o*ford have beaten them 6-0?

Just a theory, but i'm happy for the media to keep getting it wrong if we keep winning with our force of highly specialised undercover operatives driving us onto european (then world) domination.

Bikey impresses at Reading

Cameroon's Andre Bikey has impressed in England.
Cameroon defender Andre Bikey has been impressing the manager of his English Premiership side, Steve Coppell.
Bikey is on a season-long loan from Lokomotiv Moscow and has broke into the first team since Ivory Coast's Ibrahima Sonko injured his knee.

Coppell said: "Andre is from Cameroon, has played three years in Russia, and is only 22.

"For him to settle in such a short space of time is a tremendous compliment to him," he added.

The 22-year-old has played in the last four games for Steve Coppell's side and is likely to feature in Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"He has had teething problems but he is gradually overcoming them and is doing terrifically well," said Coppell.

"This weekend I am sure will be a little bit different. This is all new to Andre, a fresh challenge, and he is the first to realise he has got a lot to learn - yet alone English."
