Well done * grinds his teeth *

I'm just concerned that both Shorey and Lita's agents will be reminding that at every opportunity that while Reading will offer them 25k a week on new deals, they could leave Reading for free next summer and quite easily command 40k and more elsewhere.

I worry to much, I know.

The only England player in that team. Bound to put his price up. That will be both to RFC (in terms of wages) and any other team interested in signing him - whilst we keep him under contract that is!

The focal point of England's attack, his goals almost took his country to the brink of a first U21 title since 1984

He would just about be under 24 by 5-6 months. But what paltry amount would we be awarded for him leaving? It would be paltry!

Indeed. So he leaves on a free and we get a small (paltry) amount in compo.

Wonderful.

Define 'paltry' though....

It would be 7 figures, several times over.

Missed?
In what possible way?

I'm afraid I don't trust Lita(or maybe he's agent) He is a very ambitious lad. No sentiment expected from him, or loyalty.

I didn't like Shorey's body language when asked about transfer speculation on Sky recently.

Or am I being a little negative?

Behave!

It's compo, not a full on transfer fee for what we value him at.

Very negative.

Lita's happy at Ding, he's done well for the 21's and Shorey has proven you can play for England while here. New contract offer i expect him to sign.

Shorey from the interviews i've read is happy to stay but can't help specualtion.

You've been missed because i've been bored agreeing with people on here.

To be fair to Shorey, he's probably "officially bored" of all the speculation...
