Volvicanus Unless you go and watch the reserves a lot - I can't see how anyone could possibly care about RFC in the FA Cup.

Well I'm not going for the football, that's just an excuse to lash it up in London all day

Meet me at St Pancras, love.

I'll be at the champagne bar with the pink carnation in my lapel

Well that is one live game out of the way, BBC Utd once again

The FA Cup third round tie between Aston Villa and Manchester United will be screened live on BBC TV's Match of the Day on Saturday, 5 January.
The game will kick off at 1715 GMT at Villa Park.

Villa were beaten 2-1 at Old Trafford at the same stage last year and this is the fourth time in seven seasons the clubs have met in the Cup.

The three other ties selected for live TV coverage - two on the BBC and one on Sky Sports - will be announced shortly

I hope you're right - I can't see a huge away following if it's live on TV.

It was something like "Lots of teams'll want to go there, but not Stevie's Reading"

Nothing sinister

Villa v Man U is an awful choice for FAC 3rd round. Where's the romance in that? It's the sort of match that gets on Sky every week during the league season. Burnley v Arsenal looks far more appropriate, plus anything with non-league teams in.

And exactly the sort of match that millions of non-Sky-subscribers would love to see on terrestrial telly.

I can see licence payers kicking off big style if the BBC chose instead to feature Oxford vs Dagenham and Redbridge.

Indeed there was a moan about them showing Chelsea v Forest last season. These are the sort of games that Sky should be showing, not the BBC

Spurs have released their pricing, looks like £20 is the likely price for us in the usual South West upper/lower tier corner away section
