I think this guy deserves his own thread

Ridiculous sending off today, 1st yellow was maybe deserved, but the 2nd was beyond belief...Roberts just ran into him, and compare that to the 2 blackburn challenges in the first half.....oh well

Since he arrived he has been fantastic, him and harper have got an understanding similar to the harps and sid partnership, we will miss him at Newcastle

He is the most talented footballer i have ever seen in a reading shirt

Wrong.

Also, Seol's skill > Matejovsky's

I love Marek. I think he gives us a bit more pace and vision, reminds me of a nicer Sidwell.

Given that Matejovsky isn't a winger, I should hope not.

For me it shows the difference between continental and English players. He gets the ball, the first thing he tries to do is bring it down, then he thinks, looks for a constructive pass, and attempts it.

Way too many time today was a hopeful ball just belted up to Doyle and Kits from other players.

What is fantastic about him is that he does all four things in the sequence in lightning quick time.

Caskey had similar abilities although he wasn't quite as slimline or quick over the ground, other than in his very best season for us when he really was trim, fit & scored all of those goals.

He's probably at Euro 2008 - and a whole load of British players aren't.

No you cannot, this is the best level we have ever played at, and Marek is our most talented player

He may not be our best player, but......

Thought he looked a little tiered and that showed in the challenge that got him sent off.

Has still made a great start, especially considering how long it's taken other foreign signings to bed.

Still think he's a different type of player to Sid. The midfield still lacks the spine Sid provided.

I think Marek Harper and one more defensive player would leave us with a very well balanced pool of centre mids. Plus Karracan could come on over the next couple of seasons.

Then we've just got to sort the rest of the team out!!

Matejovsky was lucky not to get a first booking earlier in the second half when he petulantly kicked out at a Blackburn player off the ball and I thought it lucky that the officials missed it.
Matejovsky appears to have a niggly/nasty side to him and Its a part of his game that Coppell will have to work on.
I cannot comment on the sending off because I didnt really see it from where I was sat but thought that number 6 (Nelson?) and their number 3 were very fortunate to stay on the field of play after some cynical and persistent fouls!

The officials could not be classified as "Homers" today.

Never a red, but then again there was always going to be a sending off at the rate Clattenberg was dishing yellows out second half. All people want to see is consistency in referees, but that appears to be too much to ask, which is why they're ruining our game.
