Reading 6-4 Spurs

We let them go 4 up and get complacent, then hit them where it hurts.

It's the last thing they'll expect!

We're gonna lose, who cares what the score is.

Either we'll come out and tear into them, backed by a vocal crowd, and win, or it'll be a horrible, tense, negative afternoon where we play with fear, concede and are paralysed by the thought of going down, ending up losing. Obviously I'm hoping for the first scenario but I can't see it, so I'll go for a similar game to the Fulham match:

Reading 0 - 2 (1) Tottenham (Berbatov 34,90)

Of course I hope we attack them and the players leave absolutely everything out on the pitch, with every supporter going home without a voice, but the pessimist in me can't see that.

Another defeat for reading and another game without us scoring im afraid.
Berbatov is playing for a move and I can see him pinpointing us as a game to boost his stats and get his name in the papers.

Reading 0 Tottenham 3, alarm bells at the madejski as we slip into the bottom three.

I'd hope alarm bells are already ringing, it's a bit late for them if we lose next week.

RFC 1 Spurs 3

Kitson for us, Berbatov (2) and Keane for them.

Followed by the unwelcome, and not a little tense, prospect of travelling to Derby needing to win. I'm just going to lie down...

So if Fulham beat Birmingham, then lose at Portsmouth, and we win one game, neither can catch us. That's improved my mood slightly. Still I think:

Reading 0-2 Spurs
Fulham 1-1 Birmingham
Bolton 2-0 Sunderland

Derby 1-1 Reading
Birmingham 2-0 Blackburn
Portsmouth 0-1 Fulham

Birmingham end up with 36, Bolton 36, Fulham 33, Reading 34. :(

I'm off for a lie down.

Agreed, but for most people it was just a possibility not actual reality, if we loose on saturday and the other sides around us pick up points we will almost certainly be playing championship football next season, being replaced by the likes of stoke city, unthinkable at the start of the season to be honest.

But at least we wouldn't have to visit the Britannia.

Silver linings and all that.

Reading 0
Spurs 3

Our inability to hit the back of the net continues. Doobs and Ivar can't cope with the pace of Keane and Lennon!

Reading 0 Spurs 1
Bolton 0 Sunderland 2
Fulham 2 Birmingham 1

Derby 0 Reading 1 (last minute controversial, re-taken penalty missed by Kitson/Doyle but re-bound put in by Harper/Hunt or any other current personna non-gratia)
Portsmouth 1 Fulham 2
Birmingham 1 Blackburn 1
Chelsea lots Bolton 0

Bolton and Brum go down and we celebrate a rather good day, before starting to panic (probably at the onset of soberness) about next season.
