Doncaster game moved?

This may have already been asked but I can't be bothered to look. What are the fourth round replays dates?

If they beat Forest in the replay the Derby one will be moved as well.

Whens it gonna be now?

Really dunno why we bother sometimes, booked the tickets, sorted out time off work, getting to and from the game and now thats all gotta be cancelled and new arrangements have to be attempted to be made at presumably quite short notidce.

Hope I can get the time off still, but might just get a refund.. well i presume we can get a refund???

I cant make every game like i used to due to my job. We have an agreement that I can make all the home games.. and only go to aways when it falls on my days off... Donny was a day off with a late shift on the wed. Now thats all gone tits up. Wont be able to go.. unless its in 3 weeks after the 3rd of feb (3wk rolling rota).

Was a new ground to tick off too.

Why cant Villa and Donny play on the 10th?

Aston Villa-Doncaster is set for Wednesday 4th February so our game will be off. As already mentioned it seems very odd for a full League programme to be arranged for the same time as 4th round replay dates.

(No chance of the game being rearranged for 5th round day, even if Derby and Villa both win their replays, because Doncaster are scheduled to play Sheffield Wednesday who are already out.)

Too short notice for the 5th round for the police I'd imagine - for instance, what if Villa end end playing West Brom?

I do think it's a bit shit that two of the three midweeks between 4th and 5th rounds have Championship games scheduled

It's a bloody good job that we went out of the cup, and avoided postponements, making the run in harder!!

It's a ball ache but can anyone come up with a better solution that is fair to all concerned ?

Unless they want to reduce the league season to about 30 odd games, put an end to the League Cup or not have FA Cup replays things like this will happen.

On the other hand perhaps the Football League could have foreseen the possibility of fourth round replays and scheduled the Championship fixtures for the following week.

Which is an international week. So they couldn't.

There's only so many weeks in the season, so something's got to give somewhere.

Ive got my ticket and as Doncaster is only 35 min away from where I live, I'm very lucky in that respect as I should be able to go. However I'm far more concerned about Derby also having to be moved.....the fixtures will start to pile up towards the end of the season....that could cost us.

That's true, but if you're going to double up then League Cup semi week makes more sense than an early round FA Cup replay week. Also, there were unused weeks in the autumn.

I wonder if this is a side-effect of the lack of a 1st January game?

Exactly the problem in my eyes.

It's simply a quirk of the calendar. I would imagine that whatever date they could have picked would have seen postponements so they just plumped for this one knowing that if games did get called off there would still be plenty of time for the rearrangements to be fit in.
