Who's incredibly nervous about Sunday?

by Archie's penalty » 02 May 2009 00:57

Obvious question I know but who's getting incredibly nervous about Sunday - I think I will spend the whole of tomorrow thinking about it, not be able to sleep tomorrow night and be in a crabby mood all Sunday - unless we win of course! :D

I am excited not nervous at the moment. If only it were in our hands instead of having to depend on someone else. But that is football. Roll on Sunday!

After Sunday, we'll either already be promoted or it will be entirely in our hands. So, excited? yes. nervous? not really.

I think I perhaps meant excited but they are close emotions...

Birmingham!

For me, unusually there is no real nervousness. I seem to have suffered all the pain and anxiety in the weeks since January, and pretty much gave up on promotion on Good Friday when we lost to the Blades.

Now we have somehow been given a bonus opportunity. It's a long shot and I don't expect to end Sunday in the Premier League. But if it were to happen it would be like winning the lottery!

I'm more nervous about the beer festival running dry before I get there after the game.

I'm not particuarly nervous at the moment. If we don't go up on Sunday, then we go into the Play-offs, which I actually quite enjoy. And if we don't go up in them then we will get to see a new generation of players come through. So for me it is effectively a win-win-win.

Mind you, when it gets to 13:10 on Sunday I will be bricking it.

i doubt those who have been supporting Reading for 20 years + will be nervous, we have now been there done it and the monkey is off our back.

Nothing compares to the Walsall play off final for me, i was utterly bricking it.

Hampshire Royal Dull and uninspired.

It will be a dull game between two uninspiring teams with a lot riding on it.

A bingo game with a £1,000,000 prize is exciting but bingo is still crap.

Anyone who thinks the football past christmas has not been dull and uninspiring is either a) barking or b) doesn't go to the games.

But don't take my word for it. Read the back from the games threads.

To answer the question, i'm not nervous at all. I think the chance we have is pretty remote and we shouldn't have it any way so really have nothing to lose.

I'd be sick with nerves if I was a Birmingham fan.

not at all really. its a bit of a que sera scenario. i never in a million dreams thought we would be in this position after the form we have been in since crimbo yet we have managed to stumble back into it. so if it happens then great and i will be excited about sunday but as i was not expecting this then if it doesnt happen i will start getting stupidly nervous for the play offs.

I'm nervous due to the fact that my best mate is a bluenose! We need to get a result just to stop them!

I think I'm more nervous about doing it rather than failing!

POTD. If we do go up, the horrific prospect of this team being systematically mutilated in the Premier League will dawn on me pretty quickly after the final whistle.

I feel the same way as I did 14 years ago. Which means I won't sleep tonight and i'll be puking up Sunday morning.

Then again, I'd be happy if I was puking up Monday morning with an almighty hangover.
