Agreed nos being worn in training mean naff all, therefore we'll just have to wait and see the proposed squad list when it comes out which is usually around the end of the first week of pre season training.
It doesn't mean anything normally but all the players were wearing their own numbers, Henry had the 17 shirt.

I think there are some new squad numbers on view. Feds 1, Hamer 21, Andersen 31, Marek wearing shorts with 8 on?

It use to be that any number on your training kit would matter, but now all players have their own number and special requirements as will only wear their assigned kit. Number 9 is a special number and Shane long doesn't deserve it at all. We should be getting a better striker in to take that role.

Training numbers mean nothing... beckham used to have a stupid number when number 7 for man utd when training, was something like 43.

This shocking move confirms that we have no intention of strengthening our front line. It's a terrible backwards step.
Does anyone on here genuinely think that Tommy Smith will accept a squad number outside the first 11? What a farce.
