I will always remember his debut fondly. He was actually showboating in that game against Rotherham and scored a goal.

Shame that Pardew told him to tone down his showboating. :x

Doesnt make telling passes but the clubs internal stats made him just about top on their key contributions last season

Thank you Harper for running about a lot, complaining about being captain, being unable to tackle, not knowing what closing down is, waving a lot and costing us another two goals on Tuesday to add to your huge tally.

Goodbye.

would that be the two goals, one of which was gunnar getting caught upfield, and yes harper was caught in possesion for the second, but have a look and was it really a pen??? I had my doubts at the time, but am really not certain, if so pearce was as much to blame as only needed to defend the ball out of play, feds did his bit by blocking the shot on goal.

Gunnarsson? Harper was supposed to be on Campbell-Rice as he walked through the centre of our midfield.

Plus, Henry mis-controlled the ball with his first touch for the second goal, which meant Harps had to play the ball unexpectedly.

harper was no where near him, gunnar was caught out, look at it again on BBc I Player. And even after that the player did well to score.

There is no man to man marking with BR, surely??
