Sad to see Harps go but very happy to have Howard on board. Finally an effective attacking midfielder with a bit of experience in the English leagues.

Welcome Mr. Howard. I expect a lot from you.

That was the first thing I noticed too. Will it matter? How tall is Rodgers?

 Good shout about the shirt zammo.

Imagine if Smith had joined as well, what a transfer window that would have been! But we've still had a good one. It'll be interesting to see the ratio of successes and failures, with all of these signings.

Yes, I seem to remember thinking the same with the seven signings that Tommy Burns made in 1998! I'm sure I'd be foolish to compare, but something about the whole transfer/re-structure this summer just doesn't seem 100% right. There's something strange going on and I doubt we'll ever know the full story.

Great bit of business but bad news for Matejovsky IMO. I know some reports have been saying that we're reluctant to do business with Sparta Prague but I feel it had to do with the uncertainty regarding this transfer. If the football league hadn't sanctioned it and we loaned out Matejovsky then we would be left with just Sigurdsson and Davies in an attacking midfield role. Now that Howard's transfer has been completed then maybe the loan can go through now for Matejovsky, as I think the loan deadline is a week later?

Loan window is only for transfers to FL clubs, so unless Marek is off to a Championship club he's going nowhere until at least Jan.

Where has Harold's claim gone that Brian Howard is ex Chelsea?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Howard_(footballer)

No mention here at all about ever playing for said club.

Actually, with Howard now signed, what is our midfield trio going to be?
It's almost as if Karacan and Sigurdsson are undroppable for the moment, but Gunnarsson has that level head that we so desperately need.
Then we have Tabb, who is effective in midfield, and Davies who can also play in attack. Matejovsky, too...
Lots of competition. Too much, perhaps?

urgh that shirt is hideous..is he wearing that as a bet?

on a footballing note, glad to see howard finally on. Have to admit i havent really noticed him play so i dont really know what to expect from him but ive heard some good things so hope he plays next saturday.

bit concerned about the effect all this player movement will have on the team but after years of just one or two moving its nice to see us make a splash for a change 8)
