Royal Lady Explain to me, what is the point of saying that his family are affected if not to garner some sort of sympathy. What was the point about appearing tearful (if reports on here are to be believed) after the QPR game, if not to try and garner some sort of sympathy? I hope he is hurting - it would show that he does care - but like I said, trying to get sympathy from us, the fans, who pay out a heck of a lot of money to watch these awful games, is going a bit far IMO. If everyone else wants to feel sorry for him fine, I was just saying that it wouldn't wash WITH ME.
Right...
Show let me get this straight, a man who cares so passionately for a club he's worked for for close to a decade and has tried every trick in the book so far to get a result, then suffers another painful defeat. Wouldn't that bring anyone close to tears? Are you having a go because he's not 'manned up' I heard the interview and it was the most cut up I'd heard a manager since SSC gave his one after Burnley.
More to the point, you're on this message board talking about your family when something good/bad happens because I'd imagine you want to connect and let people relate to you, which is fair enough. So if thats the case, just because this man (who happens to be RFC manager) admits that his family and himself are affected by his job going badly, it's immediatly some sort of cunning plan to deflect the flack.
Give me a bloody break. He's hardly trying to get sympathy from us, he's just doing what he has done since day 1 and thats being honest. If being honest makes people feel sorry for him so be it and I find it rather sad that you can't feel sympathy for a man who, yes maybe doing a shite job, but is still trying hard, and all because you've paid for a season ticket.
