by friday fan » 17 Dec 2009 11:08

if the rumour mill in the papers is right then Sir Steve might be persuaded to return

I you all want to vote a yes to this as long as he is given funds by JM and hammond is given the sack for bringing this club to its knees, no one knows RFC Like Sir Steve

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He left having given us our best ever years - if he failed to work wonders if he came back, his reputation with us would be tarnished - I'd rather remember him for all the good times, rather than us possibly struggle this season, even under him.

TBH I think he would be in a no lose situation - if he doesn't turn things round then it was BRs fault - if he does he's the returning hero.

It's basically a new squad so he can build rather than rebuild and has said he would come back. He has previous at Palace too.

I really can't see it happening but at the same time would not be surprised if it did.

No! Move on! He's a club legend, yes, but we can't keep turning back to Coppell!

His record with Palace when he went back was rarely the same as his first stint, however, you miss the point. His return would only be as a temporary measure, probably unil teh end of the season. His brief would be simple - keep us up!

In that regard, he would steady the ship, get the team in some semblance of order and balance, and then hand over to someone else in hte summer.

I have always said that if you have a young inexperienced team you need an old head as manager. SSC would provide just such a leader. For a short term fix, SSC would be ideal.

Not even til the end of the season, until we find someone permanent? He could at least stop us going down.

Yeah, I'd take that in all honesty.

I do love him though, so I'm slightly biased.

For the trouble we're in...
We need someone experienced, it would be a bonus if they knew the setup here.
Coppell is a no-brainer.

Just because you don't agree with something, there's no need to be so rude Lee. How many times have I told you to eff off because you've eulogised over Rodgers?
