New Manager

by Avon Royal » 26 Jan 2010 22:09

Now that it's obvious that McDermott won't get the job, who do people want to see appointed?

For me the key quality is experience, and ideally experience of relegation dogfights.

Madejski might as well take it over. There's half a chance he might give himself some decent financial backing - unlike the two fall guys he has appointed so far this season.

It is too late for a new manager now - we are not going to spend anything in the transfer window. I say appoint McD and see what happens.

Having a guy who is all friendly with the players ect ect, is no good when your in the position were in.
You need someone who puts rockets up players arses. Not a guy who is a 'nice bloke'.

Get Megson in.

That really is negative and desperate stuff. We've over committed by making some desperate loan signings. Whose fault is that??
Permanent experienced ManageR and some permanent experienced strikers is what is needed. Madjeski has messed up big time.
How badly this club has been managed over the past 2-3 years is beyond belief. Can I extract my brick from the wall please!!

Ian Royal Sorry, why is it obvious he won't get the job?

Because he's clearly not up to it for a start.

We'll see. And it's not like that means anything. Rodgers wasn't up to it. Bullivant wasn't up to it. Burns wasn't up to it. Pardew didn't look up to it at this stage of his management. They all got appointed.

What we are currently seeing is a whopping 2 points out of a possible 15.

All that is clear is the Chairman and his chums need to make a decision either way, BMc or some other mug who isn't going to cost him anymore than a bag of peanuts a week!
