Let's hope he doesn't foil our ambitions on Saturday.

I have never seen Reading win a match that Chris Foy has refereed, P7 W0, D2, L5, F3 A10. That run has to come to an end at some point...

Mr Foy has done us 12 times so far and to be honest "done us" is the right phrase as we have managed 1 win in those 12 games! The full record is...

13 Dec 1997 Middlesbrough (a) L 0-4
14 Mar 1998 Sheff United (a) L 0-4
02 Jan 1999 Chesterfield (h) L 1-2
19 Feb 2000 Scunthorpe U (a) D 2-2
22 Sep 2001 Wycombe W (h) W 2-0
26 Oct 2002 Preston NE (a) L 0-1
13 Dec 2003 Stoke City (a) L 0-3
12 Feb 2005 Leeds United (a) L 1-3
09 Dec 2006 Watford (a) D 0-0
03 Mar 2007 Arsenal (a) L 1-2
12 Apr 2008 Fulham (h) L 0-2
25 Oct 2008 Queens PR (h) D 0-0

So that's a record of Pld 12, W 1, D 3, L 8, F 7, A 23

Shocking ref. But they all are really so pinch of salt taken.

Got some decisions wrong but both sendings off were completely justified and the correct decision.

I do not agree with premiership referees being charge of championship games or FA cup games involving two sides from the championship the way the game is played is totally different.

Many fouls were committed in the first 20 -25 minutes that were never given then the first tackle made by either team results in Howard getting booked.

After that the yellow card just came out of Mr Foy's pocket for every foul commited on the pitch.

Mr Foy got both sending off's right.

He was horrendous and had absolutely no control.
So inconsistent.

The yellow for Howard was perhaps a bit harsh, but I don't expect the ref to get it right 100%. If it was a yellow there might have been a couple for West Brom before it, but that's about it. Overall, a pretty good performance.

Yellow was blatantly for Howard giving him loads of grief. You make a soft foul after doing that and any ref is going to book you. Especially if you keep mouthing off

Howard was fouled on 2 or 3 occasions with nothing given.
I can understand how frustrated he must be, especially when he gets booked for a petty offence.

Certainly would drive me nuts.

I thoroughly agree, the ref made some poor calls, but Howard kept mouthing long after he had got his point across and should have stopped each time. Piss off a ref and they are going to book you if you give them an excuse.

I was sitting next to a Reading Supporter who happened to be a ref for this match, which was interesting. He reckoned Foy had a good game and got most things spot on although he thought the WBA sending off was a bit soft.

That says a lot
Foy was as bad as any ref I have seen this year and it's been a bumper year for incompetence
He was all West Brom for the first half. Then for no reason he started awarding free kicks that he had let go previously, generally in Reading's favour
Inconsistent and many fundamental mistakes - a dreadful ref

Sorry but I would agree with that supporter, I thought most of his calls, not every one, were spot on or at least logical given his angle at the time of the incident. Yes he was frustrating at times but then all refs are aren't they? Personally I thought the East Stand lino was more shaky rather than the ref

Oh and for the record Chris Foy is also very likely to referee the replay.
