Harpers So Solid Crew DG who are these clubs going to offload the expensive players to??? I hope we do not go down the road of oxf*rd Prem players who jump from club to club thinking they are better than they are. IMHO only Marcus has really been a success after leaving RFC, Doyle and Kitson have barely scored, Shorey was soon allowed to leave Villa, Sonko will struggle to find another club with such good wages, Hunt might move when Hull go down, Sidders has done well financially, but had there been a way to keep him at RFC he might be doing even better. Bikey???? well would never have signed him.

Dirk Gently Probably it'll be easier for a mall club to stay up in the PL over the next few years than it has been for about 10-15 years.
The debt that most PL clubs are carrying - coupled with the regulations on debt and financial governance that are bound to come in the next few years - will cause major problems for many PL clubs. I can see at least a couple more imploding, Pompey-esque, and a few more having to offload many of their more expensive players.
So the answer to the question is that we might be more able to in the next few years that we could previously.

They'll just not renew their contracts - "cutting the cloth, I think it's called." Or just offer them vastly reduced contracts and wave them goodbye as they go off to Spain or Italy.
It will just make the playing field that little bit more level - not to mention clubs being deducted points for going into administration.

Ideal Do you have ANY, and I do mean ANY documentation to back up your outrageous claims?
During our 106 point season we were losing £80,000 per week. What on earth makes you think we are losing less now???
Is it just your total out-of-the-blue claim, pulled out of thin air, that we are paying less in wages now?
Do you think there is any chance in hell that for example Mills is on less than Lita was?
Mills cost us £2M, he is obviously going to be on very solid wages. We have a huge squad. Quite a few of these were on our books in the premier league, and I would assume their wages are sizeable, despite what you might THINK about their abilities, because that is after all just your THOUGHTS and SPECULATION, not anything related to FACT. And it is not necessarily so that a players ability directly relates to his wages, his wages only relate to what has been offered to him in terms of a contract and whether or not he has accepted that contract, not if he is shit on the pitch.
Try coming up with some documentation for your outrageous claims before the next time you go spouting off bullshit and trolling the message boards with this crap.
I am pretty sure we are losing money, and it is my opinion (based on what FACTS I read in the news) that most football clubs are losing a lot of money, as such I do not think our club is much of an exception - although we are run more sensibly than other clubs and perhaps lose less, we still lose money.

I base what I say on statements made by Madejski. He may be being 'economical with the truth', but if it if came down to your word against his well...
BTW, have you ever considered taking anger management classes?

Royal_Delight We don't even have the firepower to stay up in this division and some of you want to be promoted?! We will get slaughtered if we are promoted, relying on Long and Sig to score in this division, no capable strikers to really, and I mean really to score. Where is the Ebanks-Blake and Jason Scotlands in the squad?
Error prone defenders may also be our downfall, Ivar is not young anymore and Bertrand makes too many denfensive mistakes for my liking. Failure to mark bigger strikers and marking quicker players is also a problem. Premiership players are quicker than our player and I mean much quicker and promotion would be suicide IMHO.
Other than Sig, not much players can score in the midfield which may prove problematic if we are promoted.
