Kitson responding very slowly to treatment, club in a bit of a frustrating situation as usual consultant in Leicester has had the temerity to go on his hols for two weeks(!) meaning he's unavailable to give Kits a different injection into his knee. Jon Fearn is also trying to contact top specialists in the US who understand more about this type of injury and can advise long term but there doesn't seem to be anybody - yet!!

SC said that the reason for Hunty's Alice band is that he has a new girlfriend and no its not her band its one he bought in Boots for £2.50

Difficulty in getting over the language barrier in the dressing room sometimes. SC is explaining things and he sees loads of 'glazed' faces amongst the english/british contingent while the 'foreigners' are listening intently

One thing we won't be is complacent at Sheffield United (supposedly)!

Sidwell is as much part of things as ever and is absolutely 100% the same as he ever was and is treated just the same. Apparently he turned down talking to several clubs in the summer as he wanted to just concentrate on his game with Reading. Whether we can keep him or not really does depend on how we do this season.

SC feels thast if we stay up its a big crossroads for this club as players would have proved their worth and therefore will need to be rewarded appropriately meaning further wage increases to reduce further the lure of other clubs this is when the club ambition really will be stretched and have to be proven one way or another.

SC likes the enviroinment provided in Sweden as ithe facilities and food are generally excellent, they're in the middle of their season and are reasonably match fit and it gives a gentle build up for our players particularly enabling the strikers to get into the groove about hitting th back of the net. He expects two releative easy games and a more challenging one to finish things off with. That said the second game in Sweden this time he felt was a mistake (that's the 10-1). Level of opposition was below what was expected.

There was a bag load more as well.....

Once again, an excellent event laid on by STAR and credit due to SC, he's obviously a much busier man now and openly admitted last night he doesn't like the press because it's boring but credit due, he came and asnwered all questions in good spirit.

anR What was said regarding buses?
Steve Coppell said he likes the one painted in blue and white hoops but would rather walk than catch one of the pink buses that operate on the Calcot route. His favourite bus of all time is the routemaster and he was very saddened to see them retired. He then went on to talk at length about bendy buses.

And he also gave us that lovely rendition of Flanders and Swan's "A Transport of Delight", even managing to get the "Big six-wheeler, scarlet painted, London Transport, diesel-engined, ninety-seven–horse-power om-ni-bus" line spot on.

Did he say anything about the team preferring fans who got to the away game by coach arriving half way into the first half?
