What's the STAR position on ground sharing? This was starting to look like it could get nasty with Coppell also expressing his concern yesterday at using the Stadium alongside London Irish. I can't get to the fans forum but could someone ask these questions.

Steve Coppell I would like the decision makers to call off tomorrow's rugby match. Obviously I'd be happier if there wasn't a rugby club sharing the ground. We don't see them and there's no cross-interference at all. You don't need a tremendous surface to play rugby but you do need a fairly flat pitch, hopefully with a bit of grass on it, to play football.

Just seen this for the next fans forum

Personally, I hate it with a passion. It did made financial sense when it was agreed, and we're now stuck with that agreement, but with the money in the PL I'm not sure it's needed any more, and it has adversely affected the football and football supporters in many ways.

I would like to know:
- if the LI management saw sense and that for a long term relationship with Reading FC they appreciate that they need to work with us; or
- they were forced to agree not to oxf*rd up our pitch

I've always been pro-LI but the last 24 hours has changed all that

Unfair - the RFU would crucify LI if they had cancelled the game despite the pitch being playable for rugby.

As with football, only a ref can decide whether a game shouldn't be played - just as it should be.
