Tim's car break-in

by Jerry St Clair » 14 Nov 2006 08:35

Heard this amusing anecdote on Saturday. His passenger side window was smashed at Anfield and his overnight bag nicked. Could I point master Tim in the direction of the TVP site advising that valuables are kept out of view in parked cars 8)

TVP Remove all items of value

In the Thames Valley there are far more thefts from vehicles than there are thefts of vehicles. Most criminals are opportunists - they take what they can when they see it. If a vehicle looks empty, the chances are they will leave it alone.

Don’t make life easy for criminals, especially by leaving valuables in an obvious place. Either take your valuables with you when you get out of the vehicle, or invest in one of the many models of vehicle boot safe that are now on the market.

Nice to see you give some sympathy.

I take it you don't like Tim.

A friend of mine had her car broken into and a bag stolen containing her sweaty gym kit.

Seems they'll steal anything these days.

Might be worth padlocking anything you want taken away for scrap as chances are someone will nick it if they think you don't want them to.

Why on earth would anyone leave a bag in their car that's on full show to any Tom Dick or Harry? You're asking for trouble! Stick it in the bleedin' boot. HTH

I'm told some people pay good money for that.

I wonder if he'll have learnt his lesson in time for the game at Goodison a week on Sunday.
