BBC Radio Berks Footy Phone In Fri 5 Jan

by BBC Radio Berkshire » 02 Jan 2007 16:53

Dear All,

We have secured the services of Reading assistant physio Becky Brown, who made her full debut at Man United last Saturday.

She will be in with Tim talking about being one of the only female physios in the top flight plus how she's attracted admirers from as far afield as Korea after appearing on tv nursing Mr Murty.

We are also working on a player as well, but the beggars never answer their phones on a day off !!!

All the best

Joel :D

When running onto the pitch do you wear a bum bag like John Fearn or do you prefer to carry a handbag?

If I hang about after the Burnley game is there any chance you could tend to my groin strain (I do hope John Fearne isn't back for that one!)

Any relation to Steve Brown?

Any relation to James Brown? (If so, I offer my condolences)

Are you single?

And now for some serious questions... although the Steve Brown one could pass as a serious one....

What made you want to become a Physio?

Are you a football fan and if so, which team do you support?

What's so magical about the magic sponge?

Have you had to treat any embarassing injuries for example Graeme Murty slipping up on a banana skin at half time?

If you're the "new" physio helping Jon Fearn, what's my niece going to do when SHE starts working with him??

- BeeBee, What was wrong with Sidders at Old Trafford and what did you do to treat him?

Copied from the Jon Fearn thread

Captain Sinbad
M4 Junction 11 This time of year can we really afford to be without Fearney? Anyone notice yesterday we had a girl physio

Becky Brown

There's a caption in there somewhere

Becky

Is there any relationship between your appearance as physio and the sudden increase in the number of injuries amongst our players?

Who do you room with on away games?

As yet, have you grown tired of the same old "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" questions like the above?

What is your current position within the club (e.g. do you primarily look after the academy or the youngsters or the ladies team) and how do you see that progressing?

Its the christmas disco and Glen Little is very keen to plug the karaoke machine in, using your physiotherapy skills how would you stop him?

Would you ever go out with a footballer (asked on behalf of an anonymous single Reading player)

Becky having read this thread on HNA, (print it off Ollie) are there any contributers that you would be tempted to give some treatment, like trapping a nerve for them?

Rebecca,
When a player gets injured in the orchestras, would you ever have to perform minor surgery involving the removal of the player’s pubic hair?
If you did, this would be remarkable, as an anagram of your name is NEW COC BARBER.
Cheers then
Cheery

- Why did you get into physioing? Was it to get your hands on all those toned bodies and if so which Premier League footballer would you most like to get your hands on?

You and John Fearne have had Dave Kitson and Bobby Convey to yourselves for long enough, Can we have them back now please?

What's the current situation with player injuries?

When a player goes out on loan (Simon Cox for example), Are they still monitored by the physio/sports science team at the Mad Stad during their loan?

- Have you been the club physio for any other football team? If so, when you're working on the Reading squad what makes them stand out from the other players you have worked with?

(for example, their general fitness)

BBC Radio Berkshire We are also working on a player as well, but the beggars never answer their phones on a day off !!!

- Joel, I think you'll find they've got your number on their phones and when it flashes "That ~@&*% from BBC Berkshire" they're just not picking up

- Becky, I've got a stabbing pain in my left shoulder and also some discomfort in my neck. I've been to a physio and whilst it was fine for a few months it's now hurting again. What should I do?
Sitting at this oxf*rd computer 24x7 doesn't help!

Is there any particular chant you'd like us to sing for you tomorrow during the Burley game?

- What do you think about the comments made by Mike Newell earlier this season about women in football?
Mike Newell It is bad enough with the incapable referees and linesmen we have but if you start bringing in women, you have big problems

- I understand women are not allowed in the Reading F.C. changing rooms when the players are getting changed, showered, etc. Do you know why this is not allowed and do these same restrictions also apply to you?
